The main findings of Einstein

Light quanta (1905)

Einstein assumed that the exchange of energy between light and electrons in the metal could only be made by "packets" of energy proportional to the frequency (light quanta) and not continuously as required under the classical theory. Light quanta are known as photons today.

Brownian motion (1905)

Einstein explained this Brownian motion as a result of the impact of the water molecules in the small pollen

Relatividade Restrita (1905)

Einstein had long been convinced that the principle of relativity should apply to all phenomena of physics. To show that electromagnetism was consistent with this principle, Einstein discovered that "enough" to introduce a new concept of time

General Relativity (1916)

The General Theory of Relativity came to change even more drastically the concepts we had to Space and Time.
