Albedo is IP50 compliant: designed for protection against dust, insect, sprays and splashes… The light housing is completely enclosed above and below, preventing any opportunity for dirt to find its way into the assembly, as often is the case with conventional grilled or ventilated models.

Albedo can be easily cleaned with the simple wipe of a damp cloth, using a surface disinfectant like all devices for operating room.The speed and simplicity of cleaning ensures perfect asepsis, while providing patient confidence in adherence to health regulations.

Northern Light: direct and indirect lighting, delivered via a balanced distribution of illumination resulting in a minimum of glare (Glare control).Exceptional care has been applied in its design and the distribution of the albédo’s light, ensuring an incomparable UGR (Unified Glare Rating: a measure of overall glare for the operator) in com-pliance with the strictest of standards for the most delicate dental work:• an incomparable average UGR = 13 (much less than the standard’s required 16)• maximum luminance = 6000 cd/m² (well less than the 10,000 cd/m² ceiling stipulated by

Everyday Comfortsensor systemIt automatically adjusts and adapts to the luminous intensity in accordance with natural ambient light variations. Light intensity within the treatment room remains stable throughout the working-day. This automatic correction in light intensity relaxes the eyes, while providing ad-ded comfort for practitioners and patients alike (Available in N8R and UNA versions). Both versions provide the maximum amount operator and patient comfort by minimising the lumi-nescence while reducing shadows.

Luminotherapy applicationsExposure to relatively bright daylight decreases the secretion of melatonin, the «sleep» hormone which is produced by the epiphysis. This is how light therapy is used to help adjust the body’s internal clock, and resets its biological rhythms to their optimal levels. This results in a feeling of well-being, an increase in general physical activity and heightened overall zest for life.

Surgical/implant/endodontic applicationsA working zone at 2300 lux (instead of 1500), with a double advantage of strengthening light by 800 lux over the entire operating area without submitting the patient’s eyes to the aggression of a typical operating theatre surgical lamps (working at 40,000 lux): illumination remains very gentle with a sustained UGR of 6000 cd/m²Surrounding zone at 1000 lux (instead of 500) as recommended in the EN 12464-1 standard for surgical operating theatres.The LUX+ infrared control requires no direct physical hand contactto select either of the lighting levels. Adjustment is according to the height of the dental profes-sional and height of the mounted light. The detection zone is located under the detection cell and is therefore accessible to everyone, via a vertically extended hand movement.
