Golf

Our 18-Hole championship golf course is designed to challenge the experienced golfer, yet welcome the novice or less skilled. Designed and built by Robert Trent Jones, the dean of American golf course architects, the course provides a fair and demanding test of golf from tee to green. A golf pro shop is on site, where you can choose from a variety of equipment options, as well as specially selected clothing and accessories.

Aquatics

The swimming pool facilities include the large main pool with areas for lap swimming and diving and the “kiddie” pool as well as a children’s playground.. Our Pool House was renovated in 2019 and has complete locker changing and restroom facilities. The pool snack bar features a complete menu of your favorite food and beverages. Our swim team “The Piranhas” have been the Tri-County Country Club Swim League Champions the past two years.

Tennis

The tennis facilities of the Albany Country Club are comprised of five outdoor, Har-tru clay surface courts, two of which are lighted for night play, a pro shop, office, restrooms and a covered porch where you can watch all the action. Two paddle tennis courts are available for use during the cooler months. Our experienced professionals offer group lessons and clinics for both juniors and adults.

Dining

We offer one of the finest dining experiences in the Capital Region. Members and guests enjoy relaxed, yet elegant dining while taking in beautiful views. The Grille Room is our exclusive member dining room where members can have a private dinner with family or socialize with other members. Menus are designed by our award-winning staff and will accommodate any special requests. Members enjoy lunch and dinner services with NO food & beverage minimums.

Club Events

Albany Country Club frequently hosts club events full of fun and camaraderie! Our members enjoy themed nights such as Lobster Night, Gourmet Burgers & Craft Beer Night, Beer, Bourbon, BBQ & Blues Festival, Easter Brunch, Spring Kick-Offs, Parent’s Night Out, Mother’s Day Brunch, Independence Day Celebration with fireworks, Family Halloween Party, Santa Brunch, Gingerbread House Party, Family First Night and New Year’s Eve Dining.

Banquets

We regularly host meetings, luncheons, private social events, member functions, fundraisers, weddings and much more. Several rooms are available that can suit any of your needs. We will prepare superb cuisine to suit your group and event. Attentive staff will ensure service to exceed your expectations. Albany Country Club offers its members opportunities to get together with other members for group activities, such as Men’s & Women’s Book Clubs, Mah Jongg, Duplicate Bridge, Mixed Bowling, Ladies Bowling League and Paddle Tennis

The first 25 new members will receive a discount on their dues as outlined below for the next three years as part of the program.

With just an application fee your initiation fee will be waived! ($500 golfing), ($250 non-golfing) (plus tax).

Our New Membership Incentive Package

Once your application is approved by the Board of Governors, you can begin enjoying our beautiful country club immediately with no dues until May! Your

discounted dues will begin in May of 2020, and continue until May of 2023!

• This incentive is limited to the first 25 new or upgrading members

• Program requires a three-year commitment from the New Member.

• Initiation fee is waived for each New Member; application fee is paid upon submission of application. ($500 for golfing members) ($250 for non-golfing members) (plus tax) .

• New Member begins paying dues on May 1.

• Returning members must have been out of the club a minimum of 18 months to qualify.

• Each New Member (including former members who have been gone for at least 18 months) receives a reduction off his/her current membership dues as follows. (25% off for the first year, 15% off for the second year and 10% off for the third year).

• Current member who upgrades to a golf membership or to a higher-level golf membership class receives a reduction off his/her membership dues as follows, providing the new discounted dues is greater than his/her current dues. (25% off for the first year, 15% off for the second year and 10% off for the third year).

• All new members must provide and maintain a current credit card on file or set up ACH for auto billing on the 25th of the month for any amounts past due.

All Golfing members will pay an annual Golf Fee, paid in two monthly installments,

covering use of range, bag storage, tournament prizes, spike changes, and Fore Tees Program

Hole-in-One Insurance

Golf members are charged $10.00 for this account. When someone makes a

hole-in-one, golfing members are eligible for a free drink for the remainder

of the day. When this account is depleted, another $10.00 will be charged.

Golf Guest Fees:

18-Hole Fee: in season: $75. out of season: $50

9-Hole Fee: in season: $50. out of season: $35

Immediate Family Fee: in season: $50. out of season: $40

(non-members who are parents, children or siblings, in laws). Allowed as guests twice per month.

Spouse of Golfing Members. (allowed as guests twice per month) $40.

In Season is the start of the Memorial Day weekend through the end of the Labor Day weekend.

Out of Season is the day after Labor Day weekend through the day before Memorial Day weekend.

Application Fees, Dues, Capital Fees, Golf Fees, Locker Fees,

Minimum Wage Fees and Carts are subject to 8% sales tax.

All Club dues and fees are subject to the annual approval of the Board of Governors
