Akademy 2014 will takeplace at the Faculty ofElectrical Engineering andCommunication at BrnoUniversity of Technology.

With its 13 universities, 33 ITdepartments, research facilities, andover 120,000 students, Brno is one ofEurope's most prominent centers ofscience and education.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS1. Akademy is organized by KDE e.V. - also

known as the Akademy Organizer.

2. Sponsorship application and acceptanceare managed at the discretion of the KDEe.V. Board in collaboration with theAkademy organizing team. Sponsors areexpected to be committed to FreeSoftware deployment and improvement,and supportive of the Akademy mission.The Akademy Organizer retain the right toreject any sponsor application.

3. After written acceptance by the AkademyOrganizer, the sponsor must provide thesigned agreement, sponsorship funds, logoimage (in the form as required by theAkademy organizer) and other requireddetails (e.g. Sponsor's legal name,trademarks etc.) to the Akademy organizerwithin 30 days of receiving the invoice.

4. Sponsorship pledges will not be processedwithout payment.

5. Sponsors may not sublet, assign orapportion any part of the item(s)sponsored nor represent, advertise ordistribute literature or materials forproducts or services of any other firm ororganization except as approved in writingby the Akademy organizer.

6. The Akademy Organizer will not be liablefor any damage or loss to sponsors'properties by fire, theft, accident, or anyother cause, whether result of negligenceor otherwise, or in the case of forcemajeur.

7. For sponsorship packages that include theuse of signage, please note that signagespace may be limited. The conferenceorganizer will inform each sponsor of themaximum size or number of signs allowed.

8. Banners, signage and promotionalmaterials should be provided by thesponsor in advance of the event by thedate notified by the organizer. Thesematerials will not be provided by theconference organizer. The sponsor is alsoresponsible for arranging the collection, forreturn, of signage.

9. To minimize waste, the Akademy organizermight replace some printed inserts andadvertisements with electronic versions.Sponsors will be notified in advance to beable to provide material best suited to themedium used.

10. The sponsor grants to the AkademyOrganizer the right and permission to useits name and/or logo for promotion of theevent.

11. Any remaining funds from sponsorshipmoney will be donated to KDE e.V.

12. In case the event can not be held for anyreason, this contract is terminated and thedonation will be returned after subtractingany direct costs already made (likematerials printed or transport costs toreturn sponsors' materials).
