Clothing•Gujarati men wear the dhoti accompanied by a shirt and coat closed with strings.

•Women wear the sari (a length of fabric wrapped around the waist, with one end thrown over the right shoulder) and choli.

Akshardham Temple: It is one of the finest contemporary Gujarat temples in India. It exhibits a blend of traditional sandstone carving with the latest technologies like fibre-optics, sound and light shows, multi-media, audio-visual shows, etc.

Dwarkadhish: It is one of the four dhams of Hinduism. The other dhams are Badrinath-Kedarnath, Rameshwaram, and Puri. Dwarka's mythical association with lord Krishna makes it one of the important Gujarat temples.

Lothal is one of the most prominent cities of the ancient Indus valley civilization. Lothal was excavated from February 13, 1955 to May 19, 1960 by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).

Diu beach :Gujarat is one of the finest beaches in India, attracting tourists from all over the world. The island of Diu Gujarat lies across Ahmedpur-Mandvi. Diu beach in Gujarat is a sensuous blend of sun, sand and sea.

Dhirubhai Ambani was born on 28 Dec. 1932. Times Of India in the year 2000 voted Dhirubhai Ambani as the greatest creator of wealth in the country. The man from rags to riches, Dhirubhai Ambani breathed his last on July 6, 2002.

Festivals of Gujarat

Navratri  is one holiday that is widely celebrated throughout the state. Navratri means literally means nine nights and is celebrated on the nine nights leading up to Dusherra .

The Gujarat State, celebrate International Kite Festival on the day of Uttarayan (Makar Sankranti). Uttarayan is celebrated across Gujarat, with major centers of kite-flying in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, among others.
