The CF34-10E long engine wash probes JMP/CF34/D/6932

Overall length: 159.2cm / 63” (approx.)

Juniper’s high capacity compressor washing rigs

The 2x25 gallon rig(JMP/CFM56/D/4777/C200)NSN 1730-99-668-7936

The 2x50 gallon rig(JMP/LUFT/D/4972/C500)

When using CF34-10Eengine wash probes, turn thethree way selector to position‘B’ this ensures selection ofthe 1⁄2” bore delivery hose.

Please refer to therelevant AMM for correctflow rate information.

STEP 1: Locating the probes

STEP 2: Securing the spring loaded clamps

Each probe has a single spring loadedclamp which is tensioned against theedge of the engine translating sleeve.

For first time fitment to the engine, loosen the tube clamp via the four allenkey bolts and dummy fit the probe to theengine. Once the hook is positioned, visually line up the back edge of theclamp with the edge of the translatingsleeve (without hooking it over) andcarefully slide the clamp forward afurther 5mm (approx.) along the probetube. Re-tighten the allen key bolts.

Caution: Ensure that the engine fan is held securely during thefitting of the engine ‘j’ hook probes.

The clamp tightened approximately 5mminside the edge of the translating sleeve.

5mm

Each probe to be inserted and fitted onthe engine at approximately the 3 & 9o’clock positions so that the probe ‘j’hook fits over the booster / fan splitter.

Then, using the handle, pull the clamptowards you and hook it gently over the translating sleeve edge until it restssecurely against the rubber lining. You should feel the clamp springstensioning as you hook it over.

Note: If you are unable to pull theclamp far enough to hook over thesleeve, then the clamp has beenpositioned too far forward, and if youfeel no tensioning of the clamp springsas you hook it over, then the clamp hasnot been moved forward far enough. Inboth cases, loosen off the allen keybolts and re-position the clamp beforere-tightening and trying again.

Once the clamps have been positionedcorrectly they should not require re-adjusting.To remove the clampsimply pull the handle towards you andunhook it from the translating sleeve.

Connect the twin hose assembly(provided with all compressor wash rigs)to both of the engine probes, making sure

that the probes are attached securely tothe engine with the hoses attached, thenconnect delivery hose from the wash rig tothe twin hose assembly.

Probe installation is now complete. Please refer to the relevant AMM forflow rate information.
