Site analysis.- Situated in a valley - Three main rivers-Hundreds of little creeks and streams-Many streams have been covered over ‘buried’-Rivers can be traced by Green Space

Site Data.My design focus on connecting the users with the river. Hence I want to use data from the flow of the river I was able to obtain in my design to draw awareness of the natural process on the site.
Merri Creek is considered a ‘high risk’ watercourse, the reliability of access to water is low. An interesting piece of information is that the Melbourne Water website states that there should be bans from taking water from this creek, but that there are not. Through the use of the water flow in my design I want to draw attention to this.

Lowest flow of Merri Creek = 3.4 ML/d
Medium flow of Merri Creek = 16.2 ML/d
Highest Flow for Merri Creek= 26.6 ML/d
Draw curves following Melbourne’s rivers
Loft these curvesin two sections
Use site water flow data to give curves bridge like shape
