  Types of air Pollution

Air pollution is one of the major problems of the present world. There are so

many causes that can pollute the air completely and spread different types ofdangerous diseases. On the basis of the different causes of air pollution it can bedistinguished into different types. Mainly the type of the air pollution dependson some of the natural resources and most of them are composed of naturalsources. Some important and common types that have great effect on the air ofthe environment and they also take part in spreading different types of

dangerous diseases. Some types of air pollution are as follows.

1. Smog:

2. Green House Effect:

3. Accidental air Pollution:

4. Transport Related Air Pollution:

5. Industrial Air Pollution:

Smog: The first type of the air pollution is the smog. It isdefined as when the smoke present in theatmosphere after emitting from different sources iscombined with the fog present in the air, a mixtureformed that is referred to as smog. Basically differenttypes of factories or the industries are responsible forthe formation of the smog. when the industries dotheir production from different materials, they canuse different types of chemicals for the cleaning,

refining or some kind of production processes, as aresult these chemicals can producedifferent types of toxic materials that can emits in theformof the smoke from the chimney of the factory and

form abond of with the fog and cause different harmfuldiseases.Living in the smog is equal to the living withsmokers; it can cause serious respiratory diseases.

Green House Effect:

Another type of the air pollution is the green house effect. It is that typeof air pollution that is formed due to the contamination of severalimportant gases with the air. it is characterized when the gases called asgreen house gases when move upward and combine with the

atmosphere and then return back to the earth and destroy different typesof things such as crops, plants, human lives, livestock etc. These gasesare basically six in number and they are; methane, sulphur, nitrogen, carbon monoxide, hydrogen and ozone. Basically the pollution is raiseddue to the burning of fossil fuel. it is very harmful for the human skin

and can also cause some kind ofcancer.

Accidental air Pollution: It is the type of pollution that is characterized due to thecauses that are accidentally in nature. Commonly it is defined as the typeof air pollution that is generated due to the different types of fuel consumption

by the vehicles or when the forest are burnt different types of gases are evolvedthat are mixed with the air and pollute the air. Some times thisPollution is also spread due to the plant leakage ordifferent types of blasts in The furnaces of themanufacturing plants.

Transport Related Air Pollution: It is that type of air pollution that is characterized due to the smoke emitting

by different types of vehicles used for transportation. As fuel such as petrolor diesel burnt in the engine can emit different types of poisonous gases inthe form of smoke. This pollution can cause different types of harmfuldiseases.

Industrial Air Pollution: Another type of air pollution that pollutes the environment as a result of theindustrial processes is called as industrial pollution. Commonly it is characterizeddue to the working of the thermal plants and also the different plants that areused

to manufacture different types of fertilizers or pesticides. The reactions that are used to producedifferent types of building material such ascement or steel etc also encourage theproduction or toxic materials forproducing air pollution. On the

whole the air pollution due to theindustrial wastes is called as industrialair pollution. Different type of atomicunits also contributes in that type ofpollution.

How can you stop air pollution?

• There are some steps that if more people took them we would have alot less pollution to deal with.•Drive your car less.•Instead of driving, walk, bike, take public transit, or carpool.•Don't smoke. Smokers are polluting the air.•Turn off lights when you leave the room. The electricity plant likely puts pollution inthe air. If you don't use as much electricity, they don't have to make as much.•Same goes with heating/AC. They use power, which is usually made in ways that form

air or water pollution. Put on warm clothes instead. Or take them off.

•Going in public vehicles instead of private vehicles because in that way polluted airsent out decrease.•Installing electronic air cleaners in houses(costs about $500 - $700).•Adding plants and trees to the surrounding environment

food that is grown locally. Food flown half way round the world has a larger carbonfootprint.•Stop using so much electricity.•Don't boil a full kettle if you only want one cup.

•Don't wash a few items in the washing machine, wait till you have a full load.•

Hang your washing on a line to dry.•Turn off your computer etc at the wall, rather than leaving it on standby.

•Drink water from the tap if it's potable. Billions of plastic bottles are produced and thenthrown away, every day.•Cut down on your packaging, plastic bags and waste. Most of this is only used onceand ends up in landfill. Plastic production adds carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, to the

atmosphere.•ban investment in, and the manufacturing of, mass produced petrol/gas combustionengines for transport, beyond 2015 (apart from low-volume sports performance, andhydrogen/like.)

•'BUY OUT' invested interests/companies,•when possible use premises acquisitioned and varied to suit•

'green' production needs.•banning investment in power/electricity production.,buy out the invested interest.•invest in wind energy production along coast. and offshore..?•lock/hold price of oil and flow/production.•ban investment in arms.•production/costs to be undertaken by the govt sector only.
