Bendix® Puraguard® Oil Coalescing Cartridges

Features and Benefits

• EPA regulations in 2007 and 2010 dramatically reduced the allowable diesel engine emissions. In response, technologies like Advance Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) were introduced to meet these regulations.

• PuraGuard® oil coalescing technology from Bendix is critical in protecting your investment by preserving the newly developed vehicle systems found on your vehicles.

• Examples: The DEF injector valve on the EPA 10 emission systems and the air operated control valves found on auto-shift transmissions are extremely sensitive to oil contamination.

When air contaminated with oil is sent into these systems, you risk shortening its life and the possibility of significant spending for repairs. • The oil coalescing filter is placed before the desiccant, ensuring the removal of oil and oil aerosols.

• This placement is critical because oil fouls the desiccant and diminishes its ability to remove moisture.
