  • Unit Configurations

The most common configuration, FD configurations allow for easy

access to all mechanical components supporting maintenance

    operations and plant expansions.

    Forced Draft

Used to minimize effects of the environment and minimizes the

    chances of hot air recirculation.

    Induced Draft

This design provides 100% fan redundancy without adding extra

heat transfer surface area and provides a lower cost alternative to the

traditional 2 x 100% specification. This design can be used in any ser-

vice but it is commonly used in lube oil and water service. It is a great

option when addressing the API-614 redundancy requirement.

    Push-Pull

    10

  • This unit configuration is common in the compression industry and

mounts up against compressor houses. The tube bundles are vertically

mounted, air is drawn across them and then turns 90 degrees discharg-

ing upwards. The design allows for either an engine drive or an electric

    motor drive application.

Vertical core coolers are very compact and cost effective. They provide

great flexibility to meet space constraints within challenging environ-

ments, such as fitting in a containerized skid while the process piping

runs directly back to the equipment needing cooling.

    J-Units

The V-Core configuration enables maximum cooling in a small space

because of its greater primary surface area. This design works well for

commercial units that are Water/Glycol/Fluid Coolers or Refrigerant

Condensers although it is not limited to these products.
