We had a total of 35 cars participate between the two clubs. The prizes were selected by the staff of Best Western based on their favorite ride. First place went to Ron Boswell with his 1973 Corvette. Second place went to a Dark purple 1980 with ghost flames, and Third place went to Manny in his 1963 split window. Thanks to all that made it out we will do it again next year. Wow! Look what is coming up in June. We start the month with our business meeting on Wednesday the 1st, followed by the Wichita River Festival Parade Friday the 3rd. Then on Saturday the 4th, we are meeting at 8:00am at 47th and Broadway to caravan to Ponca City, OK car show. The following week we are having our club drive and eat Friday evening the 10th hosted by Gene & Marcene Brown. Saturday the 11th is the Davis-Moore Chevrolet parking lot Corvette only Car show, than Sunday we meet at 10:00am at the West Kellogg antique mall for the caravan out to All Wheels Day at Lake Afton. Then there is the Father's Day car show at the Sedgwick County Zoo, June 19th. The last Saturday of June the 25th, is the Benton Airport fly-in show which we have been asked to do a show and shine with our cars. This is also the day that our club will be taking a club group photo at 11:00am near the Benton airport. I might also mention the Newton Airport airplane show and ACCC show and shine is July 2nd starting at 9:00am. The July meeting will not be at Don Hattan Chevrolet. Our July 6th meeting will be at Sedgwick County Park pavilion #4 for our annual Ice Cream Social. As always, if you have any ideas for club events or places to go, please share them with me or an E-Board member. I hope to see everyone at the next monthly meeting, at Don Hattan Chevrolet. Minutes from the May 4, 2011 ACCC MeetingThe meeting was called to order by President Glen Bailey. Hewelcomed guests Doug and Heather Stubbs who own a ’03 redZ06 and Don and Jenny Creekmore who own a ’69 redconvertible. Robert Tillman reported that he has a new ’05 blackcoupe. The minutes were approved as corrected. The June 11 show isat Davis Moore, not Don Hattan. Vice President - Barry Hoofer reported that we have 87 paidmembers and new members packets have been mailed. He willsend Kent email addresses for new members to receive thenewsletters and other messages.Treasurer - Art Warren reported a balance of $2978.77.Officer at large Mike McKee had no points update to report. Hewill be making a change in the company for ordering t-shirts andshould have those orders by the next business meeting. NCCC Governor - Bob Battaglear reported on numerous carshows. Check your emails for corvette specific shows andKEYN.com and the Saturday paper have local car shows ofgeneral interest.Newsletter Editor - Kent had no report for the newsletter.45th anniversary - Marsha Battaglear reported that shirts anddesigns have been chosen. Order information will be coming.Reminder to everyone to plan for the party on Sept. 17 at MinisaPark.

Old BusinessTravis does not have any more new information about gettingtire discounts at Bosley Tires. Glen thanked all those who helped drive students and teachers to the NewtonProm.

New BusinessMonte reported that Blacktop Nationals (Aug. 26-28) has asked us to split the receipts for the autocross ratherthan a fixed amount. E-board will discuss the details of this and will plan on making a proposal for themembership to vote on at thenext business meeting. June 3 isthe Riverfest parade and thereare still openings. May 14 will beour Best Western Show andShine car show. A flyer has beensent to members of ACCC andSouthwind. 39th Annual WACCC All Wheels Car Show - June 12, 2011 - 11:00am to 4:00pmThe 39th Annual WACCC All Wheels Car Show Will be held at Lake Afton Park on June 12th, 2011. See Flyeron this page. The Air Capital Corvette Club, Southwinds Corvette Club and the Midway USA Chapter of NCRSare meeting and touring to the lake together again this year. The Group will leave at 10:00am sharp from theParamount (Frontier) Antique Mall, 13200 West Us Highway 54. The three clubs will be parking together at thelake again this year. We will be parking in the same place as we did last year.

Minutes from the May 25, 2011 ACCC E-Board MeetingOfficers Present: Glen Bailey, Barbara Brotton, Art Warren, Mike McKee, Bob Battaglear, and Kent Michael.The minutes from the last meeting were approved as printed.Art reported a bank balance of $2131.93.Mike did not have a points update to report. He will have shirts by the June 1 business meeting. The club willpay for them up front and be reimbursed as members pay for them. The board decided to order some extrashirts for giveaways, new members etc.Bob reported on upcoming events and stressed that Kent will send out e-mails for shows of particular interest tocorvettes. Coming up in June: June 4-Ponca City, June 11-Davis Moore, June 12-All Wheels Day, and June25-Benton Fly In.Kent had no report for the newsletter.

Old Business• June 3 is the Riverfest Parade. Art will attend an informational meeting on May 26 and details will be sent to

all those who are participating.• Drive and Eat for June will be June 10 due to the parade and the Ponca City car show. A meeting place and

time for Ponca City will announced at the June meeting for all those interested in going down together.• We discussed the Best Western Show and Shine and felt that it was successful enough to have again. We

had 35 cars (amazing, considering the weather). Later this year we will look at a possible date for next year. We would like to have more publicity and would welcome any other ideas that members may have to improve this event.

New Business• It appears that everything is a go for the Benton Fly In and picture day. We will send details and reminders to

everyone closer to the event.• We had a lengtily discussion regarding Blacktop Nationals. Most of the details can and will be turned over to

committees. The final proposal from the board is to participate this year. A vote from the membership will be taken at the June 1 business meeting.

Membership ApplicationRegular Membership dues for ACCC are $50.00 per year for new members and $45.00 per year for renewals.Membership dues include ACCC spouse membership and one National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC) membership.
