AIESEC summary

AIESEC is a global, non-political, independent, not-for-profit organization run by students and

recent graduates of institutions of higher education. Our members are interested in world issues,

leadership and management.

AIESEC is the world's largest youth-run organization. Focused on providing opportunities for

students to develop their potential, AIESEC offers young people opportunities to participate in

international internships, experience leadership and participate in a global learning environment.

Who are the people working in AIESEC Bulgaria?

AIESEC Bulgaria is an organization formed by ~400 students, all between 18 and 26 years old, that

want to develop themselves and contribute to the development of Bulgarian society.

Coming from a different background and majors and over 15 universities in the country, AIESEC

Bulgaria is a diverse network of socially and business engaged young people.

Our local committees are situated in Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv, Blagoevgrad, Svishtov, Veliko Tarnovo

and Burgas.

Summary

• Our global internship program provides an efficient solution in human resources by

giving the opportunity to employ last year students or fresh graduates from more than

110 countries around the World for the duration from 1,5 to 18 months. AIESEC arranges all logistic issues, the preparation of the intern and the integration in Bulgarian society.

Building the Bridge

Summary:

AIESEC offers flexible and customized programmes to provide the access

to high potential talents. You have the opportunity to meet students,

pre-selected from different backgrounds, to work with them during one

of our business events and access their skills, knowledge and ideas.

Youth to business

Summary:

Youth to Business the biggest project in the AIESEC global network. It provides a platform for a special dialogue between representatives of youth and the business world to discuss and explore issues and solutions around topics relevant to the countries reality like: Youth Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Labor mobility & Diversity and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Summary:

BiP is a 3 day interactive event, comprised of corporate presentations, business simulations and workshops,

delivered by our partners – leading companies in their sector that show social responsibility.

BiP provides a framework for students to develop a bond with your company by working hand in hand with its

employees, witnessing the work culture and finding out about the career opportunities it offers.

Objectives:

AIESEC Educational

Program

Your Involvement:

Support a volunteer to be part of our educational program and to contribute to young children and high school students’

international experience.

Summary:

AIESEC Educational Program is consisted of 4 volunteer projects, which aim to bring international mindset and

creativity in Bulgarian high schools and kindergartens. Foreign students have the opportunity to feel the magic of

Bulgarian culture while delivering trainings and creating diverse environment for Bulgarian youth.

Objectives:

-give opportunity to young children to develop their global mindset

-to create diverse environment where children can learn more about different cultures

-opportunity to learn basic English in practice

- be part of various trainings that will raise their awareness about world issues

Employer Branding

Recruitment 2012/2013

Summary: Looking for talents in Bulgarian universities? So are we!

AIESEC organizes bi-annual recruitments in 15 Universities across

Bulgaria to find the people that want to put their skills to practice or go

and develop abroad in one of our programs. Through our virtual and

physical networks we reach at least 10000 students each edition.

Campaigns are happening twice a year – October and March in Sofia,

Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Blagoevgrad, Svishtov, Veliko Tarnovo

Colorful Way 2012

Summary: The national summer project “The Colorful Way” aims at building

positive image of Bulgaria as tourist destinations, raising ecological

behavior and promoting Bulgarian history.

During the project 30 foreign students will travel all over Bulgaria and

will take photos, make videos of the sights they see and will experience

Bulgarian history and culture. At the end of the project they will use the

compiled materials to create a short movie, which will be used to gain

more external exposure and promote Bulgaria in the AIESEC network.

The project will be realized in the period July – August.

International Youth Day 2012

Summary: The United Nations’ International Youth Day is celebrated on August 12

each year to recognize efforts of the world’s youth in enhancing global

society.

On this celebratory day AIESEC will organize open event with more

than 30 international participants, which aims to develop a tolerant

attitude towards other cultures, create better understanding of their

culture, folklore music and food and raise awareness of Bulgarian culture,

traditions and lifestyle.
