I am by the direction of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor wish to inform to you that vide

letter in reference cited it has been communicated that in order to perform its duties of

maintenance of standards of Technical Institutions in the Country and with a view of

promotion of qualitative improvement of Technical Education system in the Country, All

India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has a policy of conducting surprise visits of

Technical Institutions.

It has come to the notice of AICTE that some of the Technical Institutions are

prohibiting / preventing the Expert Committee members nominated by AICTE to carry out

the surprise visits. The Technical Institutions are hereby advised and informed to cooperate

with AICTE as it is a social and National responsibility of the Technical Institutions as well

to maintain the standards.

The Technical Institutions are hereby informed and advised that they should allow the

Experts Committee members, (carrying the letter of instruction issued by the competent

Authority to cause surprise visit) to carry out their responsibility and duties of surprise visits.
