Please refer to this office Circular of even numbers dated 18.11.2020and 03 .12.2020 on the subject mentioned above.

Consequent on issuance of AICTE Circular dated 03.12.2020, allAICTE approved Institutions / Universities are directed that full refund of feesafter deduction of not rnore than Rs.1,000/- as processing fee be made onaccount of carrcellation of admissions / migration of students except PGDM/PGCM upto 3l't December, 2020 for this very session in those cases onlywhere counselling and admissions had not started or where counselling is notyet over.

Those AICTE apploved lnstitutions / Universities where admissionsare already completed or where counselling has been over also classes startedfor more than 15 days, in their cases the Circular dated 18.11.2020 isapplieable.

AICTE is in receipt of representations from the various State Governments toextend the last date of admission to all Engineering Courses (Diploma, Diplomalateral entry, UG & PG) till 3l't December,2020 considering late announcement ofCET result in some of the States due to Covid 19.

Considering the request of various State Governments, AICTE in partialmodification in their earlier circular dated I 8-ll-2020 has decided as under:

Accordingly, consequent on partial amendment of the revised academic calendar for academicyear 2420-21, it is clarified that the revised date for cancellation of seats of Technical Courses withfull lefund is 30tt' November 2020.In the event of student withdrawing before 30tr' November 2020,the entire fee collected from the student, aftel a deductions of the processing fee of not more thanRs. 1000/- {Rupees One Thousand only) shall be lefunded by the Institutions, It would not be

permissible for Institution to retain the School/lnstitution leaving Certificates in Original. In case, ifa student leaves the course after 30tt' November 2020 and if the vacated seat is consequently filledby another student by the last date of admission i.e. Stn December 2020, the Institution must refundthe fee collected after a deduction of the processing fee of not mol'e than Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One

Thousand only) and proportionate deduction fee of Tuition fee and hostel rent, where applicable. Incase the vacated seats after 3Ott'November,2A20 is not filled by the Institution till 5tr'December,2020, the lnstitution should refund the Security Deposit and return the original documents. Thelnstitutions should not demand fee for the subsequent Semester/Years from the students cancellingtheir admission at any point of time. Fee refund along with the return of Certificates should be

completed within 7 days of cancellation.

4, All AICTE approved Institutions/Universities are directed that full refund of fees be made onaccount of cancellation of admissions/migration of students except PGDM/PGCM up to 30tr'

November, 2420 for this very session as a special case. Therefore, on cancellation/ withdrawal ofadmission of technical courses (except PGDM/PGCM) up to 30u' November, 2020 the entire fee

collected from a student be refunded in full after deduction of not more than Rs, 1,000/- as

processing fee.

Sub: Revised Academic Calendar for AIY 2020-21 - regarding.

It is intimated that AICTE vide circular dated 13-08-2020 has issued revised

calendar for A/Y 2020-21. Subsequently vide circular dated 15-10-2020 the last date

of admission to all Engineering Courses (Diploma, Diploma lateral entry, UG & PG)was extended to 30-11-2020 except PGDM / PGCM for whom separate dates havebeen mentioned in revised Academic Calendar for AIY 2020-21.

Instances have been observed that Management and ODL Institutions are alsoimplying the last date of admission as 30-l l-2020 while the circular dated l5-10-2020is only for Engineering Courses (Diploma, Diploma lateral entry, UG & PG).

In view of the above clarification all Management and ODL institutes are

requested to adhere to the previous academic calendar as circulated vide dated 13-08-2020. The circular dated 15- 10-2020 is not applicable to theses Institutes / Courses.

As we all are aware, that the country is going through a National Emgrgency that has been

prolonged due to the extended outbreak of COVID 19.

This office had issued detailed guidelines on Academic Calendar for A/Y 2O2O-21 vide letter
