Egyptian Artist resident of the Kingdom of Bahrain. LinKedIn
Ahmed Emam is an Egyptian Visual artist who lives and works currently in Bahrain. Ahmed born and raised Cairo in 1978, the capital of Egypt. The busy city with its rich heritage and multi-culture
facets inspired Ahmed as an Artist to explore the world around him and train his imagination to aspire to the undefined. Ahmed’s practice is interdisciplinary and incorporates the mediums of
drawing, printmaking, Art installation, video Art and photography. He received a BA degree in Fine Arts with a major in printmaking and pre-master’s degree in 2006 from Fine Arts from Cairo, Egypt. He is also a member of the Syndicate of Plastic Arts in Egypt and the Egyptian Society for Fine Arts
and the Graphic art. He has participated in more than 60 local and several international exhibitions, and biennales. Since the early 2004’s, Emam is working as an artist, graphic designer, interior
designer and Art Director. He is a well-experienced Lecturer and residents of several technical Printmaking workshops. He is the Co-Founder of several printmaking Studios. Curated more than 40 Exhibition of Fine Art Salon. Curator of painting and artist exhibition of cultural program Saudi
Aramco at 2011. Emam won awards and acquisitions: in Japan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain.

Currently working on Annual cultural Projects and Strategic planning of BACA. A designer and a
researcher in the cross field of design and cultural heritage. My areas of expertise include exhibition
design, graphics and participatory design.
• Art directing some of exhibition displays at museum.
• Planning, organizing, interpreting and presenting exhibitions and lectures at Art Centre.
• Networking with other Artists and art galleries professionals and outside agencies.

ABCAD (Albareh Centre for Art, Design and Visual Culture) is an initiative of Albareh and is operated
under a different space. It offers a series of programs that address different forms of expression such as
contemporary art and design. This project stems from the need to develop the contemporary art and
design scenes in Bahrain, and ultimately stimulate Bahrain’s artists to have a positive impact on the

• Development of innovations for interior spaces for all types of activities (units of residential apartments and villas, commercial units, administrative, recreational, etc. ..) use of all the raw materials used in interior finishing, with the search for the latest innovations in the world of interior design.
• Engineer production and quality control, supervision and follow-up of equipment locations within the workshops and factories and the supply, installation, supervision of production lines and quality, delivery, installation and follow-up customer service after sales.
• Prepared sketches, layouts & elevations of the space to be rendered using multimedia software such as AutoCad, SketchUp & Adobe Photoshop.
• Developed detailed color plans and 3-D models showing arrangement of furniture, walls, dividers, displays, lighting and other fixtures using computer-assisted design (CAD) software and other graphics software.
