What is HBOT?
Hyperbaric = of, relating to, producing, operating, or occurring at pressures
higher than normal atmospheric pressure
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy = Administration of O2 in a chamber at > sea-
level atmospheric pressure, which increases O2 dissolved in the blood from
1.5g/dL to 6.0 g/dL and O2 tension in tissues to nearly 400 mm Hg; this
excess of O2 has various biochemical, cellular, physiologic benefits

What is HBOT?
 Administration of 100 % oxygen
At an atmospheric pressure above the normal level (higher than 1
atmosphere absolute – ATA)
Users usually lie in the hyperbaric chamber and they inhale oxygen through
mask
Because of pressure, the inhaled oxygen dissolves and sature the blood
plasma
It is a noninvasive therapy, known from 1.600‘s

HBOT benefits
Studies are naming variety of positive physiological, biochemical and cellular effects:
1. Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) is a vasoconstrictor; it therefore reduces edema or swelling.
2. HBOT promotes angiogenesis, growth of new blood vessels from existing ones, which is crucial for wound healing. It is one of the long-term consequences of HBOT.
3. HBOT enhances the killing power and activity of white blood cells (leukocytes).
4. HBOT promotes neovascularization. When oxygen levels are increased fibroblasts divide, producing more collagen and new capillaries (neovascularization).
5. HBOT promotes collagen formation, as more of it is generated in hyperoxia.
6. HBOT kills anaerobic bacteria. HBOT is effective in fighting many infections and is bacteriostatic against anaerobes and stops exotoxin production.
7. Elevated pressure of oxygen increases antibiotic activity, extends the duration of post-antibiotic effect and alters the potential of bacteria for reducing oxidation.

AHA® A22 compressor
Our offer includes AHA Fit chambers with an oil-free air compressor
AHA A22
The compressor provides ventilation inside the chamber with an airflow of
170 l/min and by using overpressure valves ensures appropriate operating
pressurization is sustained
www.aha-hyperbarics.com
AHA® O22 oxygen concentrator
Our hyperbaric chambers use AHA® O22 oxygen concentrators to supply
oxygen into the chambers
AHA® O22 oxygen concentrators use special filters to extract pure oxygen
out of the surrounding air using PSA, which concentrates oxygen to 96 %
under the pressure of 3.0 bar (300 kPa)
Oxygen cylinders are not required in order to supply oxygen inside the
chamber
www.aha-hyperbarics.com
AHA® Fit hyperbaric system advantages

Certification EN ISO 13485:2012
EN ISO 13485:2012 is a
certification intended for
organizations that provide
medical devices.
The standard puts an emphasis
on regulatory requirements,
custom requirements, risk
management and maintaining
effective processes such as safe
design, manufacture and
distribution of medical devices.

AHA® Fit versus hard medical chamberComparison Hard medical chambers AHA® Fit chambers
Portability Not portable Portable (due to the low weight
can be moved by one person)
Weight and
dimension
500 – 1000 kg The heaviest part weights only 35
kg
Space needed Pull-out bed
It requires double length (at least 5
m)
Easy access from the top
(2.5 m in length)
Environment The patient lies in pure oxygen The patient lies in air and breathe
oxygen through a NRB mask
(safer enviroment)
HBOT protocol Demanding electronics switches
respiratory gases above 2.0 bar
(air brakes: breathing pure oxygen for
25 min and air for 5 min ...)
Easy to manage, continuously
breathing pure oxygen (eg. 60 min
at 2.0 bar) and there is no need to
switch between respiratory gases
Communication Communication device needed No communication device needed
Installation Complicated installation with the pipe
line (difficult to move the device)
Easy and fast installation
Price of the chamber 125.000 € – 380.000 € up to 31.000 €

AHA® Fit versus mild chambers
Comparison Mild / soft chambers AHA® Fit chambers
Pressure Up to 150 kpa (1.5 bar)
mostly to 130 kPa (1.3 bar)
Up to 200 kPa (2.0 bar)
Effects - Good effects based on numerous case
studies
Enviroment in the
chamber
No mild / soft chamber is registred
for oxygen use
Registred for oxygen use with oxygen
concentrator (users are exposed to air -
breathing pure oxygen trough mask)
Breathing Just air Oxygen and air
Quality of
manufacture
1-layer bag, not high quality
material (short life period)
Specially designed 3-layer chamber
made by high quality material
(longer life period)
www.aha-hyperbarics.com
Respiratory system and the distribution of O2
Comparison Hard systems AHA® Fit system
Breathing gas Required supply of oxygen cylinders Oxygen is produced by PSA technology,
and we only need a power supply
Safety Oxygen is dangerous for storage There is no risk because there is no
oxygen supply
Oxygen Oxygen is dry and can cause
inflammation of the lungs during
prolonged or frequent use
Oxygen is moist and warm as it is
generated from the room
Portability Oxygen cylinders are not easily
portable
Oxygen concentrator weights only 35 kg
Costs Oxygen is consumed in large
quantities
The high costs of everyday supplies
and the necessary logistics
Oxygen is generated simultaneously on
demand
The oxygen concentrator is both cost-
effective and energy-efficient
The cost of maintenance and electricity is
negligible
