The appeal of Anthony Larino, a Police Captain with the City of Bayonne, of

his 180 calendar day suspension, on charges, was heard by Administrative

Law Judge Joan Bedrin Murray (ALJ), who rendered her initial decision on

October 24, 2016. At its meeting on November 23, 2016, the Civil Service

Commission (Commission) did not adopt the ALJ’s recommendation to uphold

the 180 calendar day suspension. Rather, the Commission modified the

penalty to a 120 calendar day suspension. The proposed decision is now

submitted for the Commission’s review.
