The meeting was called to order at 11:26 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2016

Item 16-7-3 Approval of Second Draft Meeting Minutes

Task Group panel 7 and 14 change was noted. 16-2-9 “exiting” should be changed to “existing”.

The minutes of the February 23-26, 2016 Correlating Committee Second Draft meeting were unanimously

approved as amended.

16-7-4 Task Group Report

P. Hickman discussed the Task Group Report on the review of the NFPA 79 first draft meeting. See 16-7-5 for

Correlating Committee actions.

16-7-5 Review of NFPA 79 First Revisions and Correlating Committee Actions

The committee reviewed and approved 18 Correlating Committee Notes. No First Correlating Revisions were

created.

16-7-6 Old Business

There was no Old Business discussed.

16-7-7 New Business

A. Discussion: Technical Committees of the other electrical standards need to identify changes that will create

conflicts between documents

Define and send these concerns to chairmen of other committees.

B. Plans for development of Correlating Committee positions on appeals

There are presently 7 appeals. Appeals TG is being chaired by John Kovacik. Position/recommendations will

be formulated. Deadline for their work is Friday, the 22nd. The goal is to have a conference call on the 27th.

Chairs who have appeals have until tomorrow to respond back to Standards Administration with a written

statement. M .Earley mentioned potential failed ballots reverting to previous edition text. No conflict. Michael

Johnston is working on who will speak at appeal hearing.

C. August Correlating Committee meeting

Michael Johnston noted the dates have shifted. The Correlating Committee Conference call to discuss their

position on the appeals is scheduled for Wednesday, July 27. The Correlating Committee will be meeting

August 3 and 4th (the appeal hearing is on the 3rd). Mark Earley noted there will be a group dinner Wednesday

evening offsite for staff and cc members only without guests. Looking at Granite links. Agenda will be

forthcoming.
