Sugar Out Day Dates and times discussed for Sugar Out Day Thursday February 7th at Washington Elementary 9:00-10:00am Thursday February 7th at Jefferson Elementary 12:30-1:30pm Friday February 8th at Kate Goodrich 9:00-10:00 Date changed to March 1st at Tomahawk Elementary 1:30-2:30pm Student dental hygiene volunteers being arranged from North Central
Technical School and possibly Nicolet. New Sugary Snack display boards were approved by the coalition to have them
created and order stands for the existing Rethink Your Drink boards. Pre and post questions were reviewed and revised. Question #2 will change
from ‘Juice has sugar in it? Yes/No to ‘Sugar is the only thing that causes cavities? Yes/No
5210 water bottles will also be given to the 4th grade SOD students with an informational insert about Rethink your Drink and fill with water only.
Will continue a flavored water taster sample for students on SOD also. Program/presentation will remain the same as last year noted except for above
additions.
Karen will continue to update the volunteers and recruitment. Karen will have the amount approved and ordered for time to use for SOD’s.
