In 2012, Ak�f Elektroteknik who has a professional experience about Power Sector since 1981, started to manufacture SCK 2 type Compact Substa�on for Oil & Gas Sector in complience with Zone2 Hazardous Area Classifica�on. SCK 2 Type Compact Substa�on is produced in complience with IEC 62271-202 and equipped with special opera�ng and safety systems.

OverviewSCK 2 Type Compact Substa�ons includes MV Switchgear Room, LV Switchgear Room, MV/LV Distrubiton Transformer Room, Ba�ery Room and Emergency Supply Panel.

In addi�on to switching system, it is equipped with HVAC system, Fire and Smoke detec�on system, Fire Ex�nguisher system, Modbus communica�on system, Internal and External Lightening, Sockets, Earthing and Floor insulator system.

BaseCompact Substa�ons are assembled on a base. Base are made of NPU or NPI shapes according to load on the floor and NPU and NPI shapes are covered hot dip galvanized.

FrameFrame of Compact Substa�on is made of 5mm2 St-37 and covered with hot dip galvanized for long term using.

DoorsDoors are made of Sandwich Panels. Doors can be opened to 120 0 outside and designed against to 20 J mechanical shock.

Design And Structural Features DesignCompact Substa�ons can be designed in accordance with requirement of project. Equipment in Compact Substa�ons can be provided as ex-proof.

DimensionDimensions of Compact Substa�on can be designed in accordance with requirement of project and are specified in view of the fact that rooms, dimensions of switching equipment, opera�ng condi�ons and opera�ng area.

Wall Insulated factory production panels

Wall and RoofSandwich panels are used on walls and roof. Internal wall and external wall of sandwich panel are covered with 100-275 gr/m2 zinc sheet against to corrosion. Insula�ng is provided with polyurethane. Non-flammability Class of panels is Euro Class B.

Compact Substation Roof

LV Switchgear RoomIn Low Voltage (LV) Room, withdrawable MCC distribu-�on panel, UPS, LV Distrubu�on Panel, HVAC Panel and Modbus Panel can be installed. Dimensions of LV Room are specified in accordance with equipment dimensions in the room.

Transformer RoomIn Transformer room, Dry type transformer and oil type transformer can be used. Dimensions of transformer room are specified in accordance with power of trans-former. MV switchgear and transformer are connected with XLPE Cables and Transformer and LV Switchgear are connected with cable or busbar in accordance with requirement of project.

Ba�ery RoomThere are Ni-Cd ba�eries and DC brekaers in ba�ery room. If it is required, Zone2 Hazardous Area Claasifi-ca�on can be provided in ba�ery room.

Electrical Features And RoomsMV Switchgear RoomIn MV Switchgear Room, Metal Enclosed, Metal Clad and RMU can be used. Dimensions of MV Room are specified in accord-ance with equipment dimensions in the room.

Interior Ligh�ng, External Light-ing, Cau�on Lamps, Sockets and EarthingAll rooms in Compact Substa�on are equipped Lightening System in compliece with standarts. Internal ligh�ng include emergency ligh�ng unit. In case of power interrup�on, emergency ligh�ng unit provides ligh�ng in substa�on. External ligh�ng equipment and sockets are selected in complience with Atex cer�ficated for Zone2 Hazardous Area.

Emergency Exit Armatures are installed on the way of the doors. Emergency Exit Armatures include emergency ligh�ng unit. At the moment of energy interrup�on, emergency ligh�ng unit con�nues ligh�ng.

There are two type of earthing in compact substa�ons. Electrical devices are connected to an isolated earthing busbar. Separate earthing system is used for doors, base, walls and roof to avoid electrical shock in case of touching.

Safety EquipmentFloorFloor covering is made of non-flammable rubber. It has A1 Classifica�on and 50kV insula�on level.

Fire Detec�on and Fire Ex�nguisher System : All rooms are equipped with fire and smoke detectors. Addi�onally, CO2 tubes and control panel provides gas emmisions to all rooms on the moment of danger. In case of emer-gency in dangerous situa�ons HVAC system is disabled and warning lights and alarm become ac�ve.

Air Condi�oning System In Compact Substa�on, HVAC is used to keep stable internal temperature and humidity. Stabiliza�on in all rooms is provided by air ducts. Gas in HVAC is cooled via an external unit.
