We are glad to inform you that SAEINDIA Southern Section conducted Aero Design

Challenge 2017 Final Event at Anna University CEG Campus, Chennai on 8thto10th June

2017. Student Members of SAEINDIA from various engineering Institutions across India

participated in the Competition.

Aero Design Challenge2017 is Lighting kuthuvilakku by the Dignitaries and welcome

address by Dr. S. Thamaraiselvi, Director, CTDT, Anna University. Presentation on Aero

Design Challenge by Dr. K. Senthil Kumar Champion ADC & Director, CASAR, MIT

Campus, Anna University he gave detailed about ADC2017 such as the rules of the event,

different classes of the event regarding the competition. Impact and outcome of Aero

Design Challenge Shri. S. SRIRAMAN Chairman SAEISS & Senior Vice –President

(R&D), TAFE, and Chennai talked about the evolution of SAE and SAEINDIA and also

impact and outcome of SAEINDIA Aero Design Challenge. He motivated the students to

take part in the continuous learning process through various SAE student activates. Then

he thanked to Dignitaries and patricians of ADC2017.

Special address by Dr. S. GANESH, Registrar, Anna University and introduction of chief

guest shri. C.U. Hari Former Director – Aeronautics, DRDO & Senior UAV Consultant,

CASR, MIT Campus, Anna University and also Inaugural Address by Chief guest Dr. G.

SATHEESH REDDY Scientific Advisor to Raksha mantra, DRDO, Ministry of Defence,

New Delhi

About SAEISS 2nd Aero Design Challenge 2017 book has been released by Chief Guest

and Dignitaries

And we thanks to hosting college for conducting the workshop in various different college,

After the Inaugural Session of Aero Design Challenge event is start at afternoon with

Technical presentation held at CTDT Conference hall, Mining Department and Centre for

climate change hall it held for three days by class wise.

Flight round session is held at sport complex, CEG Campus, Anna University with the

various team bring their own model of Regular class and Micro class with Unmanned

Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for Technical Inspection and Flight there vehicle.Totally 65 team

has been participated in the event of Aero Design challenge

Award Ceremony of Aero Design Challenge 2017 on Saturday 10thJune 2017 at 4 pm sport

complex, CEG Campus, Anna University the chief guest is Shri. K. P. ANBALAGAN

Ho`nble Minister for Higher Education, Tamil Nadu and presided by Shri. SUNIL

PALIWAL, IAS Principal Secretary, Higher Education, Tamil Nadu and Felicitated by

Shri. RAJENDRA RATNOO, IAs Commissioner, Directorate of Technical Education,

Tamil Nadu with Shri. S. SRIRAMAN Chairman SAEISS & Senior Vice –President

(R&D), TAFE, Chennai.

Address on air show &TANII UAV byDr. K. Senthil Kumar Champion ADC & Director,

CASAR, MIT Campus, Anna University and flag off UAV Air show special address by

chief guest Shri. K. P. ANBALAGAN Ho`nble Minister for Higher Education, Tamil

Nadu.

Micro and Regular class with prize money check layout.
