Introduction – Problem Statement The growing trend of population and their health issues in cities pose many greater challenges to provide the optimal health care solution at the right time. With the increase in number of causalities every day in hospital there is a need to find a strategic solution to treat patients in a faster and efficient way. Also one of the challenges is the health care of the elderly, which consumes time, resources, and manpower.
Proposed Solution The trend of community facilitation of health care treatment has become popular in recent years with the development of Smart City. Compared with the traditional local hospital health care, community-based smart health care is aiming at providing convenience, effective treatment, adequate interaction, and quick reconfiguration to make the maximum use of the medical resources according to patients’ specific requirements possible. The use of IoT technology alone can establish an information network that interconnects hospitals, communities, healthcare devices, homes, and other terminals. Facing with the tremendous information content and great system complexity, the network itself cannot provide quick and effective health care treatment. There still exists two key problems in the application of IoT based health care:
1) Quick diagnosis for patients 2) Health care strategy creation and hospital resources reconfiguration based on the diagnosis.
Epistemology, the application of which is still at exploring stage, is found as a promising attempt that can help to quickly find the solution for such large scale system as IoT-based Health care solutions.
Brief Design of solution A dataset of all treated (either successful or unsuccessful) cases with below mentioned information will be maintained at Medical Information centers:
Cause of the illness
Duration of the illness
Age of the patient
Main characteristics and symptoms
Place in the body
Side of the body
Degree of effect
Treatment result
Treated by organization
Treated Doctor and Nurse
Location of the patient Stakeholders, as per the access level will try to find a similar case from the entire data set. When a case is compared against the existing set, a score is set against each compared case and required solution. Different solution sets with matching data would be provide based on the score and provides the most optimum solution possible.
