Many adverbs end with lyly. You make these
adverbs by adding ly ly to adjectives.
Some words that end in lyly are not adverbs. Some adjectives end in lyly too.
For Example:-
1.Sam was feeling very lonely.
2.She was wearing a lovely dress.

It describes in which manner an action is done.
It describes where an action is done.
It describes when an action is done.

The girls answered all the questions correctly.
He was driving carelessly.
Adverbs of Manner:
Some adverbs describe the way people do things.
Examples :
The boys are playing upstairs.
I’ve lived here for about two years.
Adverbs of Place:
Some adverbs answer the question “where?”. They are called adverbs of place.
Examples :
The train has already left.
He comes here daily.
Adverbs of Time:
Some adverbs answer the question “when?”.They are called adverbs of time.

Underline the action verb and circle the adverb that modifies it. Indicate if the adverb is of
manner, time or place.
