The series “Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing” contains publicationson theory, applications, and design methods of Intelligent Systems and IntelligentComputing. Virtually all disciplines such as engineering, natural sciences, computerand information science, ICT, economics, business, e-commerce, environment, healthcare, life science are covered. The list of topics spans all the areas of modernintelligent systems and computing such as: computational intelligence, soft comput-ing including neural networks, fuzzy systems, evolutionary computing and the fusionof these paradigms, social intelligence, ambient intelligence, computational neuro-science, artificial life, virtual worlds and society, cognitive science and systems,Perception and Vision, DNA and immune based systems, self-organizing andadaptive systems, e-Learning and teaching, human-centered and human-centriccomputing, recommender systems, intelligent control, robotics and mechatronicsincluding human-machine teaming, knowledge-based paradigms, learning para-digms, machine ethics, intelligent data analysis, knowledge management, intelligentagents, intelligent decision making and support, intelligent network security, trustmanagement, interactive entertainment, Web intelligence and multimedia.

The publications within “Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing” areprimarily proceedings of important conferences, symposia and congresses. Theycover significant recent developments in the field, both of a foundational andapplicable character. An important characteristic feature of the series is the shortpublication time and world-wide distribution. This permits a rapid and broaddissemination of research results.

Preface

The expansion of data, structured and unstructured, is creating a complex analyticalscenario for both industries and academic institutions. The challenge is to structureand review these data (information) for effective decision-making. The currentsolution is computational intelligence tools which use adaptive mechanisms for theunderstanding of data in a complex and altering environment.

The fifth international conference on computational intelligence in data mining(ICCIDM 2018), organized by Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology(VSSUT), Burla, Sambalpur, Odisha, India, during 15–16 December 2018, hasgiven a platform for research community to ponder over these challenging problemsand find a solution.

The conference has received more than 250 submissions from researchersworking in the field of data mining and computational intelligence. After a thoroughreview, knowledgeable subject experts from different countries have selected 66best quality papers for presentation and publication. With an acceptance rate of26.4%, the papers present the latest research findings in the subject and discuss newand interesting applications.

The papers discuss current research findings in the fields of soft computing, datamining, computational intelligence, green computing, big data analysis andnature-inspired computing.

Hope the content of the proceeding will be useful for readers in their field ofstudy.

About the Conference

After four triumphant interpretations of ICCIDM, the international conference on“Computational Intelligence in Data Mining” (ICCIDM) has accomplished to itsfifth consequential version with a high endeavor. ICCIDM 2018 has been entren-ched itself as one of the prominent and leading conference which will assist theprogress of cross cooperation across the different provincial research communitiesin India along with other international provincial research partners and programs.Such vigorous deliberations and brainstorming conferences among national andinternational research communities is requisite to address many challenges, appli-cations of computational intelligence in the area of engineering, science andtechnology and new trends are proceeding by each passing moment. The 2018version of ICCIDM is an appropriate platform for researchers, scientists, scholars, academicians and practitioners to contribute their inventive thoughts and researchdiscussion on the confronts, state-of-the-art developments and unsettled opentroubles in the area of data mining and computational intelligence.

The conference aims to:

• Administrate a sneak examination into the strength and weakness of trendingrelevance and research results in the field of computational intelligence and datamining.

• Augment the exchange of thoughts and consistency among the different com-putational intelligence schemes.

• Develop the significance and utilization of data mining application fields forend-users and neophyte user application.

• Endorse peculiar high eminent research verdicts and innovative results to thechallenging problems in intelligent computing.

• Contribute research endorsements for upcoming assessment reports.

By the end of the conference, we anticipate that the participants will enhance theirknowledge by latest perceptions and examinations on existing research topics from
