Dense castablesDense castables from Thermal Ceramics, such as our Kaocrete®,Firecrete®, Tri-Mor®, Kaogun®, andGuncrete® brands, are engineeredformulations designed to meet specific property requirements ofindustrial furnace operators. They are economical, have goodstrength throughout their temperature ranges, and are available in both dual-use cast/gunand special gunning formulations.
Special duty castablesSpecial duty castables from Thermal Ceramics are designed formore critical applications. KaocreteHPM®, Hicast®, Morflo®, Higun®, Kao-Plas®, Plasgun®, Plastic® HT,Plascast® HT, Kao-Tab®, andKao-Tuff® feature specifically enhanced properties that allow themto outperform conventional castables. These high technologymaterials include low-cement gunning and casting refractories, nocement castables, plastics for gunningand casting, and very high aluminacontent castables. Enhanced properties, such as extra highstrength and resistance to chemicalattack and abrasion, provide longservice life with low maintenance.
Back-up insulationKaolite®, Firelite®, and Coolcast®
brand castables feature ease of installation, including easy flow characteristics and low gunite rebound loss for time and materialsavings. These castables are availablein gunite versions and several can beinstalled by shotcreting or pumping.Kaowool® Millboard placed betweenthe rotary kiln casing and the refractory lining improves lining lifeby reducing stress and improves thethermal efficiency of the kiln byadding insulation to the lining system.Millboard products can be easily diecut into various shapes by the enduser or can be supplied die cut tosuit a specific application.
