Semester 3Specialization in one of the following universities (30 ECTS)

OBJECTIVES ofAMIS-masterAcquire an understanding of the full raw materials value chain and a mind-set for innovation & entrepreneurship focusing on sustainability

AMIS tackles the theme “Substitution of critical or toxic materials in products and for optimized performance”. It also covers “Material chain optimization for end-of-life products” and “Product and services design for the circular economy” - all of which are central themes of the EIT RawMaterials.

The AMIS program includes a solid package of courses and project work in innovation, business and entrepreneurship.

It will boost young professionals to become change agents with an entrepreneurship mindset able to safeguard the sustainability of EIT RawMaterials throughout the industrial and research landscape.

THE AMIS-masterPROGRAM

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

AMIS is a two-year education program (120 ECTS) offered by five European universities in four countries (Belgium, Finland, France, Germany).

Mobility is an integrated part of the program. Students will study at two of the consortium partner universities.

Each of them will acquire a minimum of 30 ECTS Innovation & Entrepreneurship education with engineering courses.

Upon completion of the program, students will receive a double degree.

Program costsFor European students: 1000 euros/yearFor international students: 8000 euros/year

Scholarships and fees waivers are awarded to the best candidates. Mobility grants are available for all students.

Successful applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Technology or Engineering (Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science) or its equivalent within the year of application. Students in their final year of undergraduate education may be admitted on the condition that their bachelor degree will be awarded before they enroll respecting the university specific deadlines.

Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their prior study performance and professional project, as evidenced by their academic records (study success and suitability of acquired bachelor degree for the program), letters of recommendation and other relevant documents.

As all the courses will be taught in English, students whose native language is not English must pass the TOEFL* or IELTS** (*Test Of English as a Foreign Language **International English Language Testing System)

Application deadlines: - Students applying for scholarship: Mid-February each year- Other students (own finance): end of May each year

CAREER OPPORTUNITIESAcademic career: scientist with high commercialization awareness, knowledge and competences; someone who can define a value proposition, a target customer and a user of their scientific research; someone who can communicate effectively the commercial value of their scientific research.

Employment in a company operating in the field of raw materials: expert employee or manager whose actions and decisions influence the innovation output, value creation, and performance of the company (R&D, New Business Development functions).
