Advanced Blending New Tutorial

This is a followup of the Advanced Blending Mode (see here)tutorial in Photoshop.

Step 1 : I have opened this iage and written !Still waters run deep!. I intend to "lend the letters

with the waters of the pond in the "ac#ground using the advanced "lending techni$ue.

Step ' : ro the pop up window clic# Blending options.

Step : This dialogue "o* opens.

Step + : ro the Knockoutdrop down "o* choose Deep. (see the "lac# arrow).

Step , : ro the Blend lf I have chosen Green. The default is Gray. -ou can choose "etween

ed/0reenand Blue. It will depend on how ou would li#e our effects to appear. -ou have to

e*perient.

Step 2 : This is the effect I a aiing for. 3hat did I do4

Step 5 : The sliders loo# li#e "utterfl wings that I have ar#ed with A. To split the "utterflwings press A6T and clic#. This will split the wings into two halves. The sliders are on "oth

!This Layer' and 'Underlying Layer'. -ou should first ove the sliders on the 'Underlying

Layer'.

There is a Black sliderand a hite slideron "oth the laers.

If ou ove the 3hite "utton on 'This layer'/ the letters will disappear. -ou have to e*perient.

Step 7 : I have changed the Blend Mode to 8ivid 6ight. -ou should e*perient with the options

as the "lend ode will depend on the iage and lettering ou use.

Step 19 : I have now chosen !trokefro the Add Layer !tyle"utton. (The first "utton with the!f! on it.)

Step 11 : ow clic# the &olor "o* to change the color of the !troke. B default it is ed.

Step 1% : 3hen ou clic# the color "o#the color pickerappears. See a"ove.

Step 1' : 3hen ou clic# on a part of the iage to choose the Strole color an eedropper

appears. &lic# with it to select the color fro an part of the iage. I have ar#ed with the "lac#

arrow where I a selecting the color fro.

Step 1 : I have changed the !$osition! to %nside. the Si;e to ' pi*els and Blend &odeto olorDodge.

This is the iage now. The possi"ilities of tin#ering with the iage are infinite. -ou should
