    Splitting Planes

    S$arp, 'lanar face is extended !ntil it meets ad+acent faces.

    %eveled, 'lanar faces are added in gaps to create a beveled effect.

    0evels are not narro"er than the distance tolerance. 1aps smaller than this are closed

    !sing sharp edges.

    o Offset, 2aces are not offset. his is faster$ b!t the res!lting "rap !s!ally does not

    enclose originally selected geometry.

    Additional

    OffsetSets an additional offset distance that is added to the faces of the res!lting body.

    Split Offset Sets a positive offset to each side of the splitting plane.

    Updating the feat!re "hen interpart links are broken ca!ses the feat!re to no longer be associative to its

    inp!t geometry. he feat!re !ses the body from the last s!ccessf!l !pdate$ and does not reflect c!rrentchanges made to the inp!t geometry. %f the link "as not explicitly broken$ an !pdate "arning is iss!ed in

    Splitting planes Use splitting planes that divide the model into smaller pieces.

    Each plane m!st contact and split at least one piece of geometry.

    -at!m planes can be selected from any"here in the assembly.

    A plane "hich does not split any data a s!bdivision is ignored.

    %f m!ltiple nonparallel planes are specified$ the planes s!bdivide each other.

    Linked Exterior

    !in+ed *,teriorextracts the exterior faces of an assembly into a L%45E-6E7ER%8R feat!re.

    #o! can extract all faces$ or a selection of them. #o! can edit yo!r selection of faces before extracting them.

    Ad+acent faces from the same body are +oined into a single body that is similar to a linked region. 9Ad+acent

    faces from different bodies are not +oined.: 47 does not attempt to se" separate regions into a single body$beca!se the faces may be dis+oint or may meet at a ;;$ making se"ing impossible.

    A face that is partially interior and partially exterior is not split.
