This Resource Guide is provided to you by the Women of Color
Leadership Network. It is meant to be a resource for campus and
community organizations and people who have demonstrated a
willingness to provide sensitive and effective services to
Women of Color in the 5-college area.
The Women of Color Leadership Network (WOCLN) is located at 202 Wilder Hall and provides advocacy, mentoring, and training for University and community women of color in the 5-college area. In addition, the WOCLN functions as a source site for internships and jobs connecting students to these organizations whose focus includes social justice work, outreach, economic and health issues for communities of color. Our programs work independently and in collaboration with campus and community groups and organizations to improve the lives of women of color.

Trust your instincts
about whether a person
is safe to spend time
alone with. Your safety
is more important than
being polite. If it

If I were really asked to define
myself, I wouldn’t start with
race; I wouldn’t start with
blackness; I wouldn’t start with
gender; I wouldn’t start with
feminism. I would start with
stripping down to what
fundamentally informs my life,
which is that I’m a seeker on the
path. I think of feminism, and I
think of anti-racist struggles as
part of it. But where I stand
spiritually is, steadfastly, on a
path about love.- Bell Hooks
