Feed Our Community Food Pantry
Saturday, July 16, 9 AM - 12 PM
Join us as we reach out to our community.
Volunteers are needed on the day of the
pantry as well as every Friday morning to help
unload food trucks. We also appreciate
donations of food and personal items that we
cannot get at the food bank such as toilet
paper, laundry soap, and toothpaste. We
currently only serve people living in the
43608, 43612, 43613 and 43623 zip
codes. This allows families to receive a full
week’s worth of food. This also gives us the
opportunity to do more one-on-one ministry
with people through conversations and
prayer. We will not allow anyone into the
parking lot until 8:00 AM on the day of the
pantry, and numbers will be handed out
beginning at 8:00 AM on a first come, first
served basis. For more information contact
Shelly Kirsch at [email protected] or

The Pastor’s Corner
Summers are amazing! It does not matter if you are two or 102, you cannot wait for summer. Summers
are equated with the fun, warm sun, backyard barbeques, fireworks, swimming, baseball games, camping,
vacations, and in general, a time to loosen up, kick back, and enjoy life. Here’s what I want you to do
though. Think about what makes summer so incredible? Can you picture it? What’s common among all the
things that make summer what it is?
Relationships! All of the things that make summer so great are marked by relationships. We can’t wait for
vacations, barbeques, fireworks, the beach, and more, because we cannot wait to enjoy all of it with
friends, families, and sometimes, complete strangers. People forge the fun under the sun.
Summer’s ability to develop relationships is the best time for Christians to Impact their community. The
Great Commission calls us to “make disciples,” and this is impossible without being in relationships with
other people. Since summer naturally draws us to community and building relationships, we must take the
incredible opportunity to Influence our neighbors with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Unfortunately, too many Christians view the summer the way the rest of the world does. We “take the
summer off.” We have our barbeques, fireworks, beach time, and vacations and fill our lives with “fun,” but
put off the mission to make disciples. We even make excuses like it’s time for a break and we need to relax
from all this “church stuff,” or even think it isn’t the best time to tell someone about my faith, because we
are just here to enjoy our time.
Folks, this is the BEST time! Everyone is ready to forge new friendships and strengthen old ones. What a
better time to share with others what Christ has done in your life! People are already prepared to share
their lives with you. Are you ready to share the grace of God with them?
All it takes is shifting of our minds and becoming Intentional about sharing Jesus through your relation-
ships with others. Ask God before each barbeque, vacation, baseball game, and beach destination to give
you the right words to share your faith in Jesus with someone. Then, you can even prepare yourself by
practicing telling your story to someone you will meet that day. It could be a friend, family member, or
imagine someone you have never met. You never know. Your relationship might be the very thing that
Influences them with the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
Enjoy the summer! Enjoy your relationships! Spread the Good News!
To God’s Glory,
Pastor Joe

Connect at Mayfair-Plymouth
Adult Classes:
Learning about God through adult classes is a great way to connect with Him and with others in
the church. Classes are offered at various times throughout the week. There are several
opportunities for you to get connected, from verse-by-verse Bible studies to DVD studies that
address specific topics.
Small Groups:
Small Groups range from 2-3 people to about 15. They're a great place to get to know others in a
warm, friendly and fun environment while gaining a deeper understanding of the message of
Jesus Christ. There are several groups at Mayfair-Plymouth that meet in homes, restaurants,
and at church. Whether you have years of biblical knowledge or are still seeking a relationship
with God and have lots of questions, our Small Groups are designed to help you grow in your faith
while encouraging others to grow in theirs. Contact Anna Woodward at 419-476-7093 or email
at [email protected] for more information.
