On February 18, 1958, Jimmy (Giacomo) Adornetto, age 19, along with the capable assistance of his mother and father, Phillip and Catherine Adornetto, began the

operation of Adornetto’s Pizzeria. Starting in a small building on North Maple Avenue the Pizza Shop was only the fifth restaurant to open on the Maple Avenue stretch. Today, there are morethan 60 eating establishmentsalong this same area with Adornetto’s being the only original establishment that is still family owned and operated. Just like in 1958, Adornetto’s still carries on the long tradition of mixingpizza dough in-house fresh daily. Adornetto’s has been nationally recognized for being in the top 100 independently owned pizza shops in the nation out
