we were given a second floor building space that had to hold an aveda salon and spa. it had to feature manicure

and pedicure stations, hair stations, office space, massage rooms, waiting space, reception, a retail space to sell aveda products, as well as a few other spaces.

for this project, we had to design an office space for an online retailer. we had to create conference spaces, a

reception area, a space for the retailers products to be sold, as well as designated work spaces for each

department of the company.

we were able to create our own building that could be turned into an emergency shelter if a natural disaster

struck. Locker rooms, bunk beds, a cafeteria, office space, and a small medical center had to be provided..

during my semester in florence, italy, we were given a project that incorporated both the architecture and

interior design fields to build a gastronomy center. we had to design the piazza surrounding the center and

the interior design students designed the restaurant as well.

we were given the shell of the washington coliseum in washington, d.c. and we were to design an rei retail

space from the available space. we had to inclue office space, check out, a community space, as well as a space

for each department of merchandise.
