NOTES 1. Special requirements apply for Thin Surface Course Systems (Thin Surfacings). 2. It is essential that a design sheet for Thin Surface Course Systems (Thin Surfacings) is completed for each site by the contractor subcontractor prior to works commencing. 3. Nominal compacted thickness for the particular Thin Surface Course System (Thin Surfacing). 4. Structural Factor is the relative structural contribution, corrected to the nominal thickness, that the particular Thin Surface Course System

(Thin Surfacing) will contribute. The higher the factor, the greater the structural contribution. Values in the range 3 to 4.5 indicate the material will contribute approximately the same structurally, as an equal thickness of hot rolled asphalt surface course. 5. Not all technical data is, as yet, available.

For further advice on Thin Surface Course Systems (Thin Surfacings) consult Lincs Laboratory. 6. Only the listed system provider has approval to lay the particular system detailed.
