Grant Forward Administration Console
• Administrators may sign-in to the console at http://admin.grantforward.com
• Access may be granted by administrators who have access to the console
• If you have questions about who has been granted access, email us at [email protected]
Annotation Console• The annotation console
allows administrators to provide institution-specific instructions for proposal preparation.
• Annotation is geared toward limited submission opportunities, but supports any type of opportunity.
• Instructions entered in this console are only displayed to users from your institution.
• Click on “Browse All Limited Opportunities” (A) to begin.

Limited opportunities are those whose RFPs limit proposals by institution, PI or geography.
The Grant Forward system flags these opportunities automatically, and denotes them with a lock icon.
Browsing Opportunities
• After clicking “Browse,” the system will first display all limited opportunities by default.
• To annotate a specific opportunity, click its title or the “Click here to annotate >>” (A) link in its listing.
• You may also search for any other opportunities in the Grant Forward system to annotate.

Opportunity Information
• After selecting an individual opportunity to annotate, its details will be displayed.
• On the left, the opportunities details are shown.
• On the right, three fields are available for adding additional instructions: contact, submission instructions and deadline.
Annotation Fields
• When entering contacts, you may choose from previously entered information, or add a new person. This should be the administrator in your institution responsible for coordinating the proposal.
• The deadline field may be used to specify a deadline prior to the sponsor’s final deadline.
• Upon clicking “Save,” this information is available to your researchers on Grant Forward immediately.
After saving, a link to view the opportunity onGrant Forward appears (A).

Viewing the Annotation
• Both your institution’s deadline and sponsor deadline are available on the detail page.
• Your notes and contact (A, B) are displayed with the opportunities submission information.
• This information is shown only to researchers from your institution.

In Conclusion
• Annotation is geared toward limited submission funding opportunities, but can be applied to any item in Grant Forward.
• You may provide instructions for your institution’s contact, submission instructions and internal deadline.
• After saving, this information is available on Grant Forward immediately.
• Annotated information is shown only to members of your institution.
