Why do we need adjectives in our
writing?
• Picture the following sentence in your mind.
• The dog ran down the hill.
Did your dog look like this?
• The large brown dog ran down the steep hill.
The ugly monster ran into the dark cave.
• Hideous• Horrid• Repulsive• Unpleasant• Unsightly• Offensive
The beautiful princess lived in the castle.
