Design Portfolio

My artwork inspired by the Japanese style of narrative art and an artist by the name Eiichiro Oda. I aspire to tell a story, my own story in the form of Manga or a Comic, and develop my own unique style of art.

I do not have a specific artistic direction, I draw whatever comes to mind. In order to create my own story and conjure an imaginary world, I need to have experience drawing a large variety of objects, backgrounds, landscapes, people and other forms of life. Eclectic art styles of numerous artists namely: Eiichiro Oda, Akira Toriyama and Kentaro Miura have influenced me. I started with simple pencil sketches and progressed into the realms of detailing, inking and colouring . My artwork portrays di�erent elements; namely: character design, attempts to understand the human form, structures, landscapes, human interaction and other life forms. I also find delight in detail. One way to appreciate art, is though detail and various intricacies present in these works.

To create a truly artistic and captivating narrative, every character’s expression and experiences must portray life, and the emotions and experiences of that world. I aim to direct my e�orts towards character design and story boarding before the completion of my envisioned story.

Sketching, allows me to think freely. A simple idea or a detailed expression of thought can be portrayed through the ‘Art of Sketching’. The conception of ideas can be expressed through sketches. Whether it is to create an elaborate story board or a simple character, the initial pencil sketching process is of utmost importance in the creative field.

Detailing

It is important to show intrinsic detail during and after the conception of chracters in character design.

It also provides good context when depicting a scene or a story, and detail can portray a clearer image about the person and the place
