Introduction

The audience we wanted to attract was very clear to us from the moment we decided to use the Angeldust idea. We wanted to address our audience through the use of social networking websites This is because they are so relevant in the world today but we also wanted to follow the basic conventions of the horror genre….

Social Networking

• Facespace was the social networking website that Angel 3323 used in the film, this is supposed to represent the majority of people, and they are shown as the victim

• Artbox was a networking website Lecister727 used, this hopefully did not address any of the audience because it was new to them the idea that there was a website for killers to stalk people on facespace but I imagine that it did attract them as they want to know more…..

The concept of social networking hopefullyattracted people aged 15 - 25

Angel3323

• Angel3323 is a young and attractive girl, this fits the conventions of other horror films to attract people especially male audiences for the sex appeal.

• Her beauty and her behaviour of being so open represents her innocents and naivety

• Psychologically the audience will care more about the death of an attractive character.

The sex appeal would attract men and the innocents of herwould appeal to a wide Audience.

Lester727

• Lecister727 breaks the conventions of being an old beardy wierdy sex offender as he is a young man.

• He uses his youth and being such an unsuspecting character to lure in his victims.

• This differentiates our film from TV conventions• He is a mysterious character this appeals to people who are interested in the thriller aspect.• He uses art as a medium to other killers this is new and exciting.

The Horror Genre

• Angeldust is designed to evoke terror through the implied presence of a serious danger of the use of social networking websites

• The curiosity of the audience was very important to me so breaking the convention of film while keeping the basic principle in places helped me achieve this.

After Effects

• The After effects used in Angeldust make the film very different from most horror films. In the normal horror film Edditing is something never Considerd to the extent of ours. This makes our film Stand out, and people who are interested in film will be interested in seeing this movie
