European Standard Certifi edThe fi rst addressable system PLC based certifi ed according to European Standards EN 54.2, EN 54.4 and EN 12094-1 for fi re alarm detection and gas extinguishing control.The SM system, together with Rockwell ControlLogix PLC and power supply, is certifi ed to control building addressable devices as well as a gas extinguishing system according to European standards.The SM-ALM is certifi ed EN54-2 with Apollo XP, Apollo Discovery and Notifi er addressable devices.The SM-GEC is certifi ed EN 12094-1 to control single or multisector gas extinguishing systems with multiple monitored inputs and outputs.The EN54 certifi cation covers the PLC CPUs, I/O cards as DI, DO, AI in single and redundant confi guration in order to achieve a full integration solution between building fi re alarm detection and protection system and process fi re and gas system.

Redundancy SM system is the unique redundant Hot Backup and Hot Swop system available in the market. The redundant SM-ALM and SM-GEC cards are confi gured with a primary and a standby cards. Both cards read simultaneously data from the addressable loop devices (ALM) or conventional input and output circuits (GEC) comparing result on 2oo2 basis.Upon failure of the primary card, the hot standby card immediately takes over, replacing the primary one. However, data is still mirrored in real time. Thus, both cards have identical data. Hot standby component is designed to signifi cantly reduce the time required for a failed system to return to normal operations: if a single fault occurs, the continuous operation of the system is ensured.

Very Powerful and FlexibleThe strength of the SM system is the confi guration adaptability, in terms of I/O cards and networking, based on the customer request. Every system can be equipped with multiple cards and multiple racks in line with physical confi guration of the plant. Flexibility is due to the multi-protocol on every single SM card: from standard Modbus TCP/IP open protocol to SIL protocol according to available Logic Solver Controller (CIP Protocol with Rockwell PLC is the EN certifi ed version).

One System LanguageDue to the open protocol features, the SM system can be fully integrated into any Logic Solver architecture. Standard programming platform of the Logic Solver can be implemented to confi gure and monitor any devices connected to the SM cards. Set up of every single card can be performed via web page using standard Windows web browser, just using your laptop.

Easy Maintenance & ManagementThanks to the system features, the modularity and the independency of its components, the system can be easily maintained both during the routine maintenance and in case of failure.System can be monitored via web page for the troubleshooting of every component connected to the SM system.All diagnostic and operations can be performed online without any interruption of the system functionality.
