SPRING FLING—Mother/Son Dance Oconto Falls Elementary Gym Friday, May 3 5:00-7:00p.m.

Admission: A non-perishable food item for Kingdom Come or proceeds of a donation go to Holiday Hope! A special person is welcome if the Mother cannot attend.

Volunteers are needed to make this event a success. Wonder-ing how you can help? We’d love for you to volunteer your time to be sure this is a fun time for all involved! Don’t have time to volunteer? We are also hoping for donations of nut free des-serts and snacks for our dance partners. Ideas of snacks: bars, cookies, grapes, trail mix-any food that could be eaten without a utensil.

We will start decorating in the gym at 4 pm, so that would be a good time to drop snacks off or swing by to volunteer. To be sure we have enough volunteers and snacks please email Rebec-ca Smrcina at ofespie@yahoo.com if you are able to help. 5TH GRADE CONCERT—Thursday, May 9 , 2:00 p.m. The concert will be held in the Performing Arts Center located in the Oconto Falls High School. Please use the Field House/PAC entrance with doors opening at 1:30 p.m.

If you have a 5th grade student and will be picking him/her up after the concert, please fill out the student pickup form that was sent home today.

4K, 5K, 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade students will attend the morning dress rehearsal and 3rd grade students will attend the after-noon concert. If you need to pick up your child from school during a time when he/she is scheduled to attend the concert, please call or send a note in advance and we will have your child remain at OFES.

If you will be picking up a student following the concert, please send a note to your child’s teacher. 5TH GRADE STUDENTS—JOIN THE WMS BAND! Band Fittings—May 10 Trained professionals will guide all 5th grade stu-dents though a process to select a band instrument. A form will be sent home with the student. You will be able to make the final decision to join band at home. Band Parent Meeting—May 23 There will be an informational parent meeting for all students interested in joining band on Thursday, May 23, at 6:00 pm in the band room at Washington Middle School. This meeting is designed to provide you with all of the information that you will need to join the Washington Middle School Band!

SPRING FUNDRAISER! ORDERS DUE MAY 8TH Spring fundraiser proceeds will be used to support special events and incentive programs. Shop or pay online at www.clubschoicefundraising.com. For every 10 items purchased or sold you will receive 1 box of chocolate chip cookie dough. Orders and money are due Wednesday, May 8. 2019-2020 CLASS ROSTER DEVELOPMENT In the next few weeks, our faculty will begin meeting to set up class rosters for the 2019-20 school year. This is a very involved process, with our goal being the creation of bal-anced classes that meet the educational needs of all stu-dents. A number of considerations are weighed as part of this process. Parents are welcome to share with the school their insight if they feel there are significant factors that should be considered regarding their child’s placement. If you choose to share information, please do not request a particu-lar teacher, as we will not guarantee these re-quests. Instead, focus on the type of environment that you believe would be best for your child. Any information regard-ing your child’s placement should be forwarded to Mr. Moore, in writing (or via email at daniel.moore@of-ps.org), no later than Friday, May 17, 2019.

OFES RUNNING CLUB Running club meets every Tuesday and Thursday, 3:15-4:30 p.m. Students can run for fun, or they can train to run the 3.1 mile Cellcom Run on May 18 and/or the 6.2 mile Bellin Run on June 8. Both events will be offered to running club participants at a discounted rate. This club is open to stu-dents in grades 3-5. Parents are welcome to join us as well. Permission slips are available in the school office and must be completed before participation. Come join us to train for the Cellcom Run & Bellin Run or just run for fun!

SNOW DAY MAKE-UP DAYS The Oconto Falls School District will make up time lost to our eight snow days on: May 28, June 7, June 10, and June 11 (early release) .

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES Community Health and Safety Fair—Saturday, May 11 Looking for a great community event and fun for all ages? Attend the Community Health and Safety Fair on Saturday, May 11, 9a.m.-noon. The FREE event is for the whole family and will be held rain or shine. Don’t miss seeing Eagle III Helicopter, Jaws of Life, and the K-9 Police Dog demo. Bring your Teddy Bear or doll to the Ted-dy Bear Clinic. Family Super Sitter Class—Saturday, May 11 (9am-3pm) Class #23278, Cost: $34.60 This class covers the physical safety and security during childcare. The students learn the important roles of friendship, companion-ship, understanding and patience when caring for another. They will get information about the different ages and how to relate to them. American Heart Association - FREE CPR Class A FREE Family and Friends CPR course is being offered at St. Clare Memorial Hospital. Learn lifesaving CPR skills in one evening. Learn skills in CPR, AED use and relief of choking in adults, children and infants. These simple lifesaving skills are easy to learn. The class is open to adults and children 12 years and older. MAKE ONLINE PAYMENTS FOR LUNCHES AND SUMMER SCHOOL FEES Step 1: Go to: https://ofps.RevTrak.net Create a RevTrak account using your email address and a password. Step 2: You will be asked to enter your Skyward Family Access Login. Future transactions won't require two steps because your account will now be linked to your Skyward fees. You will simply log in using the account you created above. Step 3: Click on "Purchase Food" or "Purchase Fees" to view account balances. Click a quick pay button or enter your payment in the amount field. If using a mobile device, scroll down to view balances or fees. Make selections and click "add Selected to Cart". Step 4: Enter your payment method and place your or-der. After your transaction is processed, you will receive an email confirmation and your student's Skyward account will be updated.

LOST and FOUND: Our "Lost and Found" table in the lobby is overflowing! If your child has lost items (hat, mittens, coat, shirt, pants, shoes, boots, lunch bag, the list goes on...), please take time to look through the lost and found items and claim yours. Whenever possible, please label your child’s clothing and personal belongings.

REGISTRATION for 4K PROGRAM If you have a child who will have reached his/her 4th birth-day on or before September 1, 2019, and did not receive a 4K enrollment packet, please contact the Oconto Falls Ele-mentary office at 920/848-4476 to request this infor-mation. Decisions regarding staffing and other resources are based on enrollment projections - so having as much accurate information regarding our incoming 4K students is important.
