Established in 1989, we specialise in addingvalue to industry by providing a consultancy /problem solving service through materialstechnology and process improvement. We havegained an enviable reputation in customer careand service; and through partnerships with oursuppliers, we are able to offer a complete rangeof solutions to include the well-established

We supply high-grade liquid resin systems to industries such aselectronics, transportation, engineering, medical andmanufacturing. A dedicated external sales team of industryexperienced professionals work together with our customers andsuppliers to provide the perfect service and product solutions foreach manufacturing environment. We deliver technical andapplication knowledge. We ensure that our customers’ business isenhanced by the introduction of new products, processes andinnovation that deliver real customer benefits and value.

We were appointed as a key distributor by MomentivePerformance Materials in 1990. With our proven ability to providemanufacturing solutions we have grown to become Momentive’slargest European RTV silicone distributor with territories includingthe UK, Germany and Poland.

Our ability to solve bonding problems has furtherexpanded with the addition of the high performance range ofstructural adhesives from ITW Devcon and Permatex. Thesefast cure, high strength products have opened up many newapplications for us in the automotive, marine and electronicsindustries.

A growing reputation for supplying high quality silicone mouldingrubbers within the Rapid Prototyping Industry enabled us to look atthe options available for a supplier of casting resins. Our chosenpartner for this important range was BJB Enterprises Inc ofCalifornia USA where we have an exclusive European agreement.Their premium performance product range and philosophy fits verywell with Techsil and therefore continues to be an important part ofour success.

More recently, we have identified gaps in our product offeringsand partnered with ACC and ThreeBond to fill those gaps wherethey have specific, highly competitive, technical grades to meet therequirements of our customer and prospect base.

Our range of silicone sealants offers unrivalled performance in protection against the ingress of the elementswhilst maintaining a flexible seal. Typically, these are used in sealing electronic assemblies to improve IP ratings

or provide ATEX level security in explosion and/or high risk environments. The materials are supplied with a range ofcharacteristics subject to the intended end use and application.

Our Bonding SolutionsTechsil have a large selection of materials capable of bonding almost every substrate from metals, plastics,

Silicone offers extreme performance onto a selection of engineering fabrics including glass cloth, Nomex, Kevlar,nylon, and polyester. Coating improves the ‘hand’ and feel of the base material and affords heat and abrasion

resistance, whilst reducing porosity. By mechanically bonding the materials in a matrix, the coated fabrics benefit fromthe synergy of the resin and substrate working together.

Techsil provides a small but vitally important range of ancillaries. A release agent is a chemical used to get a slip effect,it can provide a solution in processes involving mould release. Our release agents offer the ability to release from resins and

As our target customers operate in added value industries it is important that materials are controlled and handling kept to aminimum. Our concise range of dispensers cater for one and two pack liquids and pastes and give an operator the ability toposition and mix and apply in a controlled manner that reduces manual contact, mess and wastage. They reduce fatigue andimprove product quality especially demonstrating consistency of finish.

Services At Techsil, customer satisfaction is foremost in our

business philosophy. To this end we have developed

a number of services for our customers

RepackagingOur experience and expertise in this sector has

allowed us to become an authorised repacker for

many of our suppliers, and for our own branded

products.

Modern repacking and material handling capabilities

means that we have developed a variety of equipment

designed to handle our products so that we can

transfer the contents of large primary containers into

small packs. This provides the opportunity, in many

cases, to supply product in a format to meet your

exact dispensing requirements from syringe to

cartridge, tub to pail.

Heated & Chilled Storage FacilitiesSpecialised storage facilities are an important part of

our business. We have facilities that cope with

products that require temperature-controlled

conditions in order to help to preserve their effective

life and to enable us to supply goods to our customers

in excellent condition. Materials are stored in special

conditions dependant on the properties of the product,

such as frozen, chilled or heated. Other products

require storage in our flameproof store.

Stock Management SolutionsFor many of our customers, we offer a stock

management solution based on a weekly ‘faxban’

service and annual demand forecasts. This allows our

customers to guarantee sustained supply over long

periods whilst keeping minimum stock levels at their

own premises.

Our stock holding is usually more than enough to

service our customers requirements, however, given

that some of our materials can take from 12 to 20

weeks to arrive with us from, we also have a large

number of clients who place forward or call-off orders

6 to 12 months ahead of time to ensure that their

production needs are met.

Custom BlendingCombined with an ability to package our materials in

bespoke sizes and containers, Techsil can also blend

and pigment certain products. This enables us to offer

specially customised materials for our clients (subject

to viable commercial quantities).

Problem Solving/ConsultancyTechsil has flourished due to its ethos of a consultative

approach to sales. We want to understand our

customers’ problems and opportunities so we can

offer a product fit for purpose and with a process that

matches the client’s needs. This requires a two-way

discussion, samples, trials and testing.
