Campus College Services Building Structural Renovation Addenda # 3

NOTICE TO ALL POTENTIAL RESPONDENTS The Request for Proposals (RFP) is modified as set forth in this Addendum. The original RFP Documents and any previously issued addenda remain in full force and effect, except as modified by this Addendum, which is hereby made part of the RFP. Respondent shall take this Addendum into consideration when preparing and submitting its Proposal.

MANDATORY PRE-PROPOSAL Attendance:

One of the major components of this job is moving the tenants in/out and where to house them. There aren’t many flat spaces at Sylvania Campus for trailers. The project manager is exploring utilizing a space between the AM & CSB buildings. Question: Has PCC started conversations regarding trailers and the current Master Plan? The old MP sunsets 5/24/18 at 1pm. Answer: Discussions have begun. By the time this project requires a move the new zoning should be in place. Question: Are the SD available for review? Answer: An addenda will be (was) posted with the drawings. Windows will be upgraded in some areas. 2nd Floor add awnings Add small walls on 3rd floor in public safety area New flooring, corridors are in question. 2 conversation areas at main entry. Sealing floors on 2nd floor. Paint/Welding Booth on 1st floor, addressing either a welding booth and add pain booth, or vice versa. Callout: Dispatch can’t be non-operational. It needs to be as quiet as possible. Possible Schedule impact for this area: early or late off-hours. Callout: first floor occupants have moving issues and difficulties due to equipment. Callout: re-pouring concrete & stairs and retainer wall issues. Project Manager Additional Notes: This is currently not part of the project design. Scope to be evaluated at a later time. Callout: Four basic areas of project.

1. Un-level floors 2. Exterior windows & flashings 3. Renovation Work & moving partitions 4. MEP Work

Q: How much work is anticipated in public safety and will it be phased? A: Carpet, floors, minor remodel. Yes, to allow them to be operational. Project Manager Additional Notes: Only dispatch needs to be operational Q: Target date for Construction drawings? A: No, it hasn’t been determined yet. Q: Is there an idea of when PCC is wanting to complete the job by? A: We do not have a set date yet. As soon as possible. Will develop with successful proposer. Q: Will this fall under the facilities permit? A: We are not sure. That will be researched. Q: How is this project being funded? A: Capital Funds

Q: What is the budget? A: $2.037 is listed in the RFP. Q: What year was the building built? A: 2005 Q: Will there be much spalling when you jack up the floor? A: No, it’s not expected. Q: Have you look at power and data for trailers between CSB & AM? A: Yes Project Manager Additional Notes: Successful bidder to help facilitate Q: Who will handle the moves? A: The successful proposer.

VENDOR INQUIRIES/CLARIFICATIONS Question: Have there been any date/time changes to the advertised bid date or prebid meeting? Do you have a Pre Proposal date? Is there a RFQ(or RFP) Packet available? Have you issued any Addendum/changes on the specification? Will you be keeping a list of companies that request the packet? What is the estimated construction cost? Answer: 1) Go to http://www.pcc.edu/purchasing 2) Select “Solicitation Opportunities” (on the right) 3) On the same line as desired project, click on “Download”. 5) Enter company information 6) Click on “Submit” 7) You should receive an email for PCC with the link to the document 8) Click on the link 9) RFP document should be displayed 10) Print/review If this doesn't work, please let me know. Question: I see on the attached RFP that PCC will hire Architect/Engineer for this. Do you know if they have already been selected or will that decision be made after the GM/GC has been selected? Answer: OTAK is the Architect/Engineer of record for this project.
