DESCRIPTION
Social development is the overriding theme of the EAGA development strategy and poverty reduction is central to this
theme. The objective of the TA is to establish a comprehensive SME development framework relevant to the entire
subregion, in order to enable the countries concerned to consolidate and more effectively implement SME development
efforts throughout the EAGA region. Concomitantly, the TA will provide an opportunity for the four countries to coordinate
and tackle at the subregional level, common issues relating to the reduction of poverty and strengthening the social
progress within their national boundaries and within the EAGA. The TA will also focus on identifying areas for improving
interlinkages among the different BIMP-EAGA areas.
