    Objectives:Learn the design process and create an engaging ier thatcommunicates the message to the target audience.

    Description:Create a ier notifying graduates of a leadership conference.

    Process:By using the FOCUS steps of design I needed to communicate a message.I studied the lifestyle of a college senior and what concerns andschedule they have. I used this to help me with my design decisions.I then sketched out several ideas of how the ier could look andfeel. Then choosing the best sketch I then created the ier

    using Adobe InDesign. After getting some critique frompears and family I then nalized the design.

    Programs:Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign

    Objective:Incorporate quality images. Incorporate at least fourquality images, not including the logo. One should be clippedin Photoshop and text-wrapped in InDesign so the text followsthe cutout shape of the image.

    Description:We were asked to create a brochure on a subject that I was interested in.We needed to create a logo in illustrator and use Photoshop to cut out aphotograph and have wrapped text around the cut-out image.

    Process:I rst had to come up with a subject that I felt strongly

    enough that I would want to stay motivated for since it isgetting close to the end of the semester. I used illustratorto create my logo and thought of adding the html tagsymbols to the logo to help add to the concept ofweb design. I used one of the layouts that I didin class for this project.

    Programs:Adobe Dreamweaver

    Objective:Aquire working knowledge of HTML and CSS. Create anoriginal logo and describe the process on the web page.

    Description:Create a web page layout that would work well with a logo that youhave previously created. Demonstrate your ability to work with theprogramming languages of html as well as css.

    Process:As was mentioned in the description the use of the programminglanguages of html as well as css was used to control the designlayout of the web page. I used Photoshop and illustrator to

    help with the layout of the logo as well as the diamondsused in the list points. After pushing the site to thechrome web browser I was able to use the inspectelement tool to work with the layout and see whatthe changes would look like. It is a great methodbecause you are able to see real time feedbackfrom the code you enter.

    Objective:Learn to blend two or more images together gradually,using masks. Also demonstrate more advanced Photoshopskills for layout with multiple elements.

    Description:Create a montage of images that has a spiritual message.

    Process:I went through the media library the church had to nd my photos. Iwas wanting a message that was simple but also had a neat concept.I found the quote from Elder Ballard and knew that I had touse it. The imagery in his words of pollinating made me very

    interested in creating a montage around that quote. I usedphotoshop to create the piece and used the selection toolas well as a ltered layering of the images to help givethe feel of this project.

    Objective:Create three completely different, original logos to t acompany or personal image that will appeal to the audience.Do not imitate existing logos or use previous designs.

    Description:The purpose of this assignment was to create three different logo designsthat communicated the message and purpose of the business.

    Process:I began with creating a business name of course I wanted to be surethat I had some sort of business in mind as well as concept. So Icreated Bolt Baby Security. It is a baby proong service that

    makes your home baby proof. I then sketched out manydifferent ideas and then went with my three favorites todesign in illustrator. I then tried to choose type thatwould be related to both the main componentsof the design Bolt & Baby. I also chose verysimple color schemes to try and keep the logosimple.

    Objective:Choose a color scheme, take a photo to match thosecolors, then incorporate the colors into the layout.

    Description:Take a photo and place on a designed layout that will show off yourphoto. Include a color scheme that is complementary to your photo.

    Process:I started off by brainstorming a concept that I felt would be interestingand challenging. I took a photo of some computers. Looking at itnow I could see where I could have improved it with a tablet anda smart phone to really show the diversity of technology. I

    used a canon dslr camera to take the photo and photoshopwas used to improve the picture.

    Description:Create a stationary design that portrays a business or persons values andcharacter.

    Process:The rst portion of this project was to create a logo and then tobegin work on the stationary. After some time working on the

    logo the letterhead and business card came quickly becauseI was already in the mindset of the logo and I couldtransition what the feeling of the logo was into theletterhead and business card. I used illustrator tocreate the logo and then I used Adobe In Designto create the layout on the page and businesscard.

After some timeworking on the logo the letterhead and business cardcame quickly because I was already in the mindsetof the logo and I could transition what the feelingof the logo was into the letterhead and businesscard.     Programs:Microsoft Word

    Objective:Learn to use only Word design features without using anyAdobe programs, including Photoshop.

    Description:Create an ad that would be used for a fundraiser. Need to create thead using only the use of Word.

    Process:The process began earlier in the week when we learned about scanninga high quality picture. After choosing the picture I was going to useI came up with a fundraiser idea that tied well with the picture.I wanted my ier to appeal to my target audience. I chose

    a picture with a beautiful garden landscape to catch myaudiences eye. I then had similar colors tying the entiread with the picture that pulled the people into thead. I used the word program to create the ad andphotoshop to scan and crop the image. I usedthe shapes tool in word to create the circles.
