Module-1 Understanding Self
Ice Breaking MY NAME Students introduce themselves and tell what they know about why theyhave their name (Association of Name with Personality }
Name as an Acronym (Opening inner Self): naming the group, vision and mission, advertise the group,
dedicate a motivational song.
Self Concept Create a "Me" Commercial (Details Attached in the End)
Definition of self by student. Discuss the Importance of understanding Self and its relevance in all
phases of life.(example Johari windows reference) Acceptance of positives and negatives of ones self and molding it for successful Functioning in person
and professional adjustments.
Components of Self discussed with day to day examples (self image, self identity, self concept)
Self Acceptance as in TEA give example from your life .(Thoughts, Emotions and Actions)
To know about self awareness( SWOT: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats)
Module-2 Self Esteem
List 10 things you like about yourself.
How do you feel most of the time?
Defining - Self Esteem = Self Efficacy + Self Respect., Characteristics of High & Low self esteem.
Consequences (result) of High & Low self esteem.
Building up your Self worth & Self Regard
When do I feel the most angry or frustrated? What is it about those situations that I feel that way?
What emotions do I want to feel most of the time?
What characteristics do I believe God possesses? Why do I believe that?
What is my relationship with this God/Universe?
Beginning when I was a child, what are the 10 most significant (important) events in my life? Why did
make them significant?
Module-3 Emotional Intelligence:
Meaning, Importance & relevance of Emotional Intelligence.
Describe Positive & Negative emotions
Describe Healthy & unhealthy expression of emotions.
What are the 5 competencies of Emotionally Intelligent person? Give example to support your answer.
Enhancing Emotional Intelligence and Creative Thinking
Which is more creative - a sunflower or an ostrich? A milkshake or a float? A beautiful painting or abeautiful relationship? Why?

Module-5 Leading through positive attitude:
Define Attitude. Also Discuss the Components & features of Attitude.
What are the benefits of Positive Attitude, Negative Attitude & Stress?
Activity Fostering Your Attitude (Details in the end). How can we develop the right Attitude?
Attitude Test (Attached in the end) Scoring and Analysis.
Identify relationship of Stressors & Attitude in your life. Identify relationship of negative attitude and
stress. Importance of Positive attitude and its benefits in a healthy living

AppendixActivity : Create a "Me" Commercial
Part 1: Each student will write a two- to three-minute television commercial. The topic iswhy someone should hire him or choose him for any job. The commercial will depict the
student's special qualities, traits, interests in a persuasive way. All students should have in
their mind where they would address for hiring them (in what kind of company) in order
to achieve their goal. After they work on these, the students present their commercials infront of the class circularly.
Part 2: Afterwards, they write to their Journal the reason they choose this or thatcharacteristic, or that interest.
Time required: 20 minutes
Activity: Fostering Your Attitudes
Instructions
Make a chart on the board with three columns: At work, At home, and At
college. Then ask: What causes you to have a bad attitude in each of these areas?
Students should give responses under each of the three categories.
Write the student responses on the board.
Toward the end of the 5 minutes, ask this question: According to your responses,who controls your attitude, you yourself or other people / situation around you /
past experiences?
