MAROONDAH IMMUNISATIONSMaroondah City Council conducts free immunisation sessions at Arrabri Community House.

WITH ONE VOICE CHOIRArrabri is pleased to present our new “With One Voice Bayswater” Choir. We will be holding a special launch of our choir on Wednesday 19 February from 6pm-8pm. New members are always welcome! Don’t be scared to come along and see what it’s all about. You don’t have to be a great singer – there are no auditions. The aim of a With One Voice choir is to get people together! All sorts of people from all sorts of backgrounds. Come along to our launch and meet our current members and our very talented conductor, Cassandra! Enjoy a lovely supper with us afterwards. Normal rehearsal days are Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm – 8.00pm. Membership fees will be discussed on the night.

RESUME WRITING SERVICEResume writing is a skill and landing an interview is more likely with a killer resume showing off your education skills and experience. Arrabri is now offering a face to face service to review your prepared resume. We will ascertain what you are looking for in a job, identify your skills and provide tips and advice. We will discuss suggestions to enhance your resume and how to tailor it to the kinds of positions you are seeking. After receiving our feedback, you will update your resume and return for a final once over.

Cost is $40.00 for a one hour consultation. Your final once over is at no charge for a 15 minute appointment. Anything over the first hour and your 15 minute review will be charged pro rata at $40.00 per hour. Bookings are essential.

MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID COURSEThis is a 12 hour course delivered over two consecutive Mondays. Course participants receive a copy of the Standard Mental Health First Aid (SMHFA) manual and are eligible to complete an online Accreditation Assessment in order to receive a Mental Health First Aider Certificate of Accreditation valid for 3 years. This course teaches adults how to provide initial support to adults who are developing any of the following mental health problems, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or mental health crises:

ARRABRI OPEN DAY At our special Open Day we will be showcasing our Occasional Childcare with children’s activities: Arts and Crafts, Face Painting and a Jumping Castle! This is a relaxed and friendly computer session to help consolidate your learning where you can come along and use our computers and have someone there to lend you a helping hand.

WEIGHT WATCHERS IS NOW AT ARRABRI!You can now attend Weight Watcher’s meetings at Arrabri Community House on Wednesdays from 9.30am – 10.30am & Thursdays 6.30pm - 7.30pm. The Weight Watchers program is a holistic approach to weight loss tailored to suit your lifestyle.

Everyone is welcome, whether you are already a life member or wanting to join for the first time. Learn and discuss new topics each week to assist you in your weight loss journey and participate in confidential weekly weigh-ins to keep you on track. ARRABRI WALKERSGet fit and meet some new friends at the same time. Walk around the local area at a brisk but comfortable pace. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a water bottle. This group meets each Thursday at 9.15am at the House and walks for approximately one hour. Have a cuppa and a chat when you return! This is a free activity - no costs involved.

INTRODUCTION TO INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT (AGED CARE)Do you have a passion for helping people? Do you want to learn about a skill set that is in demand all over Australia? Learn the fundamentals of photography

This six week course will teach participants digital photography skills and how to take better pictures. You will learn about exposure, the exposure triangle, depth of field and focusing techniques. See how types of light, shadows, reflections and silhouettes affect photos, as well as composition and the use of colour.
