Main Goal: • Support to development of renewable energy & energy efficiency and as a result improve national energy security level and minimize negative environmental impact. • Increase awareness of civil society and country’s decision makers on environmentally friendly and economically sound ways of energy production and consumption as well as on RE &EE potential

EEC operates in energy, industrial and building sectors and provides consultancy services such as energy audits, policy analysis and development of pre-feasibility studies, pre-investment surveys, sustainable local energy planning. EEC provides RE & EE capacity building & training; awareness raising campaigns (publication & dissemination of tailored leaflets, posters, brochures, short videos for targeted audiences; organization Sustainable Energy Days, etc.) implementation of RE & EE demo projects.

Fields of Activities

EEC is member or associate member of following international organizations: -European Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ECEEE) - World Renewable Energy Network (WREN) - European Small Hydropower Association (ESHA) - International Network of Organization for Promotion of Energy Technologies (OPET) - International Network on Small Hydropower EEC pledge has been accepted by REN21 secretariat. EEC is official CoM supporter in Georgia

Analyzing of Thermal Photos of Engineering System Units of Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel

In order to improve energy efficiency, safety and building performance, Energy

Efficiency Center Georgia (EEC) has scanned all major electric panels of the

building by capturing thermal photos with infrared (FLIR) camera to identify

engineering system units anomalies (heat losses and/or overheated objects).

Implemented 3 big demo projects and 20 small scale

projects in state, municipal or community buildings,

social welfare institutions throughout Georgia,

including: schools, kindergartens, family type

children’s houses, Old People’s Homes, health care

institutions. Projects cover such RE &EE technologies

as: solar thermal systems, solar micro PV systems,

energy efficient wood stoves, double glazing windows

to replace single glazed windows, efficient lighting,

weatherization of roofs, walls, doors.

Energy Efficiency Program for Georgian Communities-Energy Bus” (2009-2012)

Goal-raise awareness of rural communities on effective usage of

energy, improve utilization of RE &EE through energy information

centre/exhibition on wheels, which communicated best practices

in energy efficiency and alternative energy technologies through

on-board multi-media interactive displays and models.

•EB-visited 62 big & small towns , 400 villages;

•62,938 visitors including 30,000 kids;

•13154 schoolchildren and 1213 teachers participated in RE &EE

trainings;

•Contests for best thematic poster & project idea (449 posters

&133 project ideas-600 participants;

•Annual Sustainable Energy Weeks-conferences, exhibitions,

award ceremonies;

•EB activities were covered in 82 TV, radio and newspaper

articles;

• About 135 000 copies of 6 types of brochures & 6 types of

leaflets disseminated.
