Making Yukgyejang (Spicy beef and vegetable soup)
& Minari Muchim (Seasoned water dropwort)
The Yeoksam Global Village Center is hosting a Korean cooking class to makeYukgyejang and Minari Muchim on March 9, Friday.
Yukgyejangis known as a healthy food enjoyed during all four seasons. It is made withshredded beef with green onions, bean sprouts, bracken fern, and other ingredientssimmered together in water for a long time. It was used to be served in Korean royalcourt cuisine. It is still one of the dishes favored by many Koreans because of its subtlyspicy and rich flavors.
Minari Muchim is one of the side dishes eaten usually in the spring. Its made with freshwater dropwort (Korean parsley) with some pepper and vinegar.

Volunteer at St. Marys Hospital with the Yeoksam Global Village Center!
On Saturday, March 24 from 10:00 to12:00, the volunteer group will pay its 25th visit toSt. Marys Hospital in Gangnam to help with the preparation of medical kits, cleaninghospital facilities and to spend time with young patients.
Those of you who have interest in music, magic, arts or other recreational activities toshare with children are welcome to join us!! (No prior experience required.)

Tour to Biwon Secret Garden
The Yeoksam Global Village Center is inviting you to a special tour program that willprovide you a wonderful opportunity to experience the hidden delight at Biwon (Secretgarden) in Changdeok Palace.
Changdeok Palace was designated as UNESCOs World Cultural Heritage in 1997 forits beauty in tune with the nature-friendly characteristics.
This tour includes a special tour course to Ongnyucheon, which allows participants to
view the part of Biwon which has been off limits to people since 1976. It s open to publicaccess after 28 years.
The garden is significantly important in terms of ecological preservation as well ascultural properties protection. Our special tour program will allow you to explore Biwonand Ongnyucheon in Changdeok Palace except the main building parts of the Palace.
