Opportunities for all ages
At the individual level
To create opportunities for seniors to remain physically, socially and cognitively engaged
so they may enjoy their golden years
• Healthy lifestyle campaigns and activities in the community, to promote preventive health messages and encourage health-promoting behaviours
• Over 200,000 seniors (i.e. 1 in 2) reached
National Seniors’ Health Programme
Physical Activity Part 2 (Mar 2017) – 7 simple exercises seniors, including those with reduced mobility, can do at home
Physical Activity (Sept 2015) – 7 simple exercises seniors can do at home
Falls Prevention (Jul 2016) –Provide 5 simple tips to reduce risk of falls.
Nutrition (May 2016) – Educate seniors on the importance of good nutrition
Stroke Awareness Campaign (Oct 2016) – Signs and symptoms of stroke
• Targeted interventions for mature workers at workplaces, to increase convenience and accessibility to preventive health services
National Seniors’ Health Programme
Impacted more than 23,000 workers in 7 sectors thus far
“Check Car, Check Body” Health screening/coaching sessions for taxi drivers when they send in their taxis for monthly servicing

Dementia Friendly Communities
• Built 3 dementia-friendly communities (DFCs) where:
• We have launched DFCs in Yishun, Hong Kah North and Macpherson, and started engaging Bedok and Queenstown divisions
• Trained over 12,000 individuals from grassroots leaders, volunteers, students, businesses, NGO, faith-based groups, government agencies
People in the community know about dementia and how to respond to them and support their caregivers
Environments will be safe for persons with dementia
Dementia resources are readily available in the community
Persons with dementia feel included and are well supported
Launched on 4 Dec 2016, the PAssion Silver Concession Card is a 2-in-1 card that combines the PAssion Silver Card and purple Senior Citizen Concession Card. It is issued free to every Singaporean aged 60 and above or as they turn 60.

Tap on younger or active seniors to befriend vulnerable and isolated seniors in the community
• Target group: caregivers, seniors who live alone or with elderly spouse

• Today, we have more than 580 senior volunteers serving 350 vulnerable seniors in more than 33 constituencies.

Community Befriending Programme
• Co-locate childcare and eldercare facilities to encourage operators to introduce programming that allow young and old to interact
