Murder Mystery 2015 Sat 19
th Sept 2015 – ‘Dead Men Don’t Eat Dessert’
HUGE THANKS to everyone who contributed to this years
murder mystery. It was a fabulous success! From catering to waiting on
tables, working on the bar and cleaning up afterwards. Events like this
cannot take place without you, you are the unsung heroes and I just
want you all to know how much we appreciate your efforts.
Also to everyone who attended in the audience and dressed up for the
occasion. I have to say that members of the audience dressed to impress
and this really contributed to a great atmosphere. A number of people
have commented to me that we are getting better and better at the
murder mysteries, and we have a lot to live up to next year!

Photographs from Murder Mystery
Another hugely successful and increasingly popular Murder Mystery was held on Saturday
19th
September with ‘Dead Men Don’t Eat Desert’. There was a fabulous atmosphere with
many in the audience dressing as gangsters – at times it felt like we really were in Chicago
rather than good old Bassingham. Feedback was massively positive, and many in the cast
have been approached by people telling us it was our best one yet!
Many thanks to everyone who made this show a success – from backstage to front of house
and catering – everyone pulled together and produced a fantastic , well received show!
Thank you!!!

Irene Tizard
ACT TWO THEATRE COMPANY would like to say a huge thank you to Irene Tizard
who has left the village for pastures new. As part of our group for almost thirty years
Irene contributed much to our success. She was a popular and active member and
appeared in many of our productions. She also enjoyed being involved with costume
making and make-up. Her admin skills and ability to organise us during her time as
secretary were invaluable. We will certainly miss her!
We wish her and Martin much happiness in their new life.

Local Village Shows
Just a further reminder that Act Two now have an exhibition stand and the plan is to
attend as many local village shows, coffee mornings etc…. in order to promote the activities
of Act Two theatre company. The reasons for this are numerous but include:
Recruitment of new talent – both acting and backstage/technical
Promote our commitment and benefit to the local community
Advertise our shows
We had a stand at the Bassingham show in the theme of our murder mystery in order to
publicize this event, and also held a ‘Meet Act Two’ evening at Hammond Hall. We were
successful in recruiting a number of new members, most of whom now have principle roles
in this years’ pantomime – we really do give everyone the opportunity to join in our
productions. We are a thriving, inclusive and forward thinking theatre group
Come and join us!!!!
Please let us know about any of these shows that we could attend, and even better, please
volunteer to man the stand if possible. Costumes are available and the stand can be picked up
from my house with albums full of photographs, new and old.
Junior Drama – A Reminder!
Sharon Laughton is looking to step down from Junior Drama after a
number of successful years and we are looking for someone to take over
this invaluable part of Act Two. You will be supported 100% by Act
Two and Sharon is willing to help out as long as she is needed. We have
a thriving group of youngsters and we value this group very highly –
some of our youngsters have gone on to better things – West End, UK
Theatre Tours…etc….. and we really don’t want to lose this group.
Please consider playing a crucial part in developing the young talent in
our area – you may discover a future superstar!
If you are interested or have any questions please contact either Sharon
or John on: [email protected] or
[email protected] or speak to any Act Two member
Act Two needs you!
