NEED TO REGISTER AS A CABLER?
How to meet the ACMA's cabling regulations.
Learn to safely install, maintain and modify customer premises communications cabling required according to theAustralian Communications and Media Authority's (ACMA) 'Open' Cabling Provider Rule.
Content
Work within the constraints imposed by customer premises and ACMA regulatory environment•Manage remote power feed•Install and modify cable support, earthing and terminataion infrastructure•Install cable and earth wires•Terminate and test cables and earth wires•Inspect cable route to ensure correct separations•Evaluate earthing needs for cable systems on customer premises•Create or update cable plans and records•Monitor work activity•
Accreditation
Upon successful completion, you’ll receive credit and certification for the following accredited units from ICT30313- Certificate III in Cabling, allowing you to apply for registration as a cabler:
ICTCBL2136B - Install, maintain and modify customer premises communications cabling ACMA Restricted Rule
ICTCBL2137B - Install, maintain and modify customer premises communications cabling ACMA Open Rule
ICTWHS2170B - Follow work health and safety and environmental policies and procedures
Pre-training Review
You must complete a compulsary pre-training review before attending class.
